THESE ARE THE 2 ACHILLES HEEL AFFECTING GH RIGHT NOW. ONCE UPON A TIME, SOUTH AFRICANS DIDNT NEED A VISA TO VISIT THE UK, BUT THAT CHANGED WHEN PAKISTANIS STARTED PAYING BRIBES TO GET SOUTH AFRICAN PASSPORTS. SUDDENLY, THE BRITS WERE SEEING A HUGE INFLUX IN PAKISTANIS ENTERING THEIR COUNTRY AS VISITORS. THEY WERENT LEAVING EITHER. WHO NEEDS THIS? BOKO HARAM FUO WEI? LOOK WAT THEY DID TO BHUTTO? SO THEY CHANGED THE RULES ON SOUTH AFRICA...
GH DOSENT HAVE NEARLY HALF THE POPULATION AS THE OTHER NATIONS MENTIONED IN THIS BOND PLAN. ASK YOURSELF, HOW MANY NIGERIANS AND OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS HAVE BEEN ABLE TO "BUY" A GH PASSPORT? LOOK AT THE BIGGER PIC, FOLKS. IT LOOKS BAD ON GH.
TODAY, THE UK WANTS A BOND. LOOK AT THE FINANCIAL CALAMITY AFFECTING NATIONS GLOBALLY. VERY SOON, OTHER WESTERN NATIONS WILL IMPOSE THIS BOND ON ALL 3RD WORLD NATIONS. OMAN GHANA, IF YOU DONT WANT TO ACT LIKE AN ADULT. PERHAPS, U NEED TO BE FORCED TO ACT LIKE ONE.

most other projects in America and UK they have the highest foreign civilians. Most living off of government funds. Free/Low income housing.... DRAINING Government funds.
With all these countries suffering from recession, they no longer see the benefits of using their resources on immigrants, just like the Ghanaians in Ghana don't like to see Nigerians in Ghana doing better than they average Ghanaian...

Our leaders have failed us. They themselves have created the notion that living in Ghana is not enough. One has to go to London (Aburokyire) to crown whatever success anybody can muster in Ghana. They steal money and go and hide in Banks in London. When they are at the zenith of life, the send their children to London. They come home with shinning cars and apparel from London to show that London is the "place' to be in life. It is the dream of every young man to travel to London to make it in life. Therefore, every serious minded Ghanaian must go to London and they go to have permanent access for their families. We cannot deceive ourselves by denying what the British are doing to protect their interest. When Ghanaians make it to London, unless, he/she has the means to stay in Ghana, the fela will never return.

The visitors visa is meant for visitors not permanent stay . So long as people follow the rules they will receive their deposit back upon return within the specified time. We should eliminate all agents and abide by the rules.

Of all Ghanaian students who go to the UK majority of them are HND graduates who have been discriminated against in their own country. Our useless universities, out of fear of the polytechnic system, have made it a point to suppress anything HND. That is why majority of them, out of frustration, troop to the UK for further quality education. How can one after 3years of hard work to obtain HND be asked to go back to the university to start from Level 100. The Executive Secretary of the National Accreditation Board(NAB) has even come out to say that HND GRADUATES do not need further education. If his stupid admonishment is anything to go by then the question is who writes books for technical students.I tell you the nature of our university education will not permit raw university graduates to write books for our technical students except those who passed though that system. Another issue is that the only institution that is offering Automobile Engineering at the tertiary level in Ghana is Kumasi Polytechnic. The rest are only offering general mechanical engineering yet the number of automobiles in Ghana is growing geometrically. The question is if a student with WASSSCE aggregate Eight(8) wishes to pursue Automobile Engineering to manufacture engines for mother Ghana where does he go? Should he go to the polytechnic to make his academic progression bleak or be coerced to the university to acquire general knowledge which will eventually make them useless. University education has made us unreasonable as a country. How can we sit down for a UK university, Coventry University, come down here to offer MSc degrees to our HND graduates for 5000pounds and using our own lecturers as resource persons when the same could be offered by our universities for a third of that amount if only our useless universities could swallow their empty pride yet we sit back and complain of lack of foreign exchange. Are we not being stupid as a country? This is how far our useless university education has brought us.

I am sure this is a way of stopping Ghanaians from trooping the UK embassy for visas. Sometimes it is a very very embarrassing sight when you are going for a visa for an official trip or a holiday. Please know that it is not all that rosy in the UK. There are Ghanaians in UK who are struggling to make ends meet; we have Ghanaians who are squatting in the UK. Let me tell we are better off than a lot of them. They even envy us when we go on holidays. Fact is we are always complaining about the non-refundable visa fees and yet people find money to pay for fees daily. There is comfort in Ghana; there is pride in staying in Ghana; refuse to be a second rate citizen even if you have a stay. If you dash me UK I will not take it. I am proud as a Ghanaian in Ghana. Please let's join hands and build this beautiful and peaceful nation and let them take their country.

When they were need they came to loot our wealth. When we are need they erect iron gates.
But the biggest problem is our leaders. For those us who think deep beyond the average mind, we know that Ghana does not have any future even in the next 500 years if the current crop of leadership remains in power.
I don't NDC leadership, but I mean today's polical leadership in Ghana. Our salvation as a country will never see progress as long as the current style gorvernance persist.
Our leaders do not think about our problems a country let alone think of solving them. They think about themselves and how to please the legal hustlers.
Let's calve our own brand identity and stop playing the tune of the masters.

Ghana has not all of a sudden become a high risk country - it has been a high risk for years. If you happen to have the privilege to work where I work, you will see so many Ghanians being deported back home as illegal immigrants or entrants every month. The British government in most cases have to bear the cost of these deportation.
The only way we Ghanians can overcome this is as you said to exponentially develop our nation. We as a nation accept mediocrity from our leaders and expect other nations like the UK to serve us well? - come on grow up guys.

Is it not a shame that Ghana at this day and age is considered by UK as High Risk Country. I guess we need to pause for a second to try and understand the true meaning of what High Risk Means by UK context.
A- It means Ghana is considered as poor nation by UK standards
B- It means coruption is pervasive through out public Institutions
C- It means Poiticians are deemed to be corrupt and Government Officials engaged in vigorous bribbery conducts.
D- It Means poverty is ranpant in Ghana and every Ghanaian cannot be trusted and garuanteed to return back to Ghana once they are granted the opportunity to Enter UK.
E- It means when the well qualified professionals applied and are willing to honestly contribute to building Ghana, Public Institutions have been reduced down to Party cronnies and unqualified quangoes who have no required skills to discharge their duties effectively and derives best value for money for Ghana.
It doesn't take much to read between the line to establish what is going in the Country. Legacy Dept- Wayome. laughable is it not? As a professional Procurement Specialist to lives in the UK myself, and a true Ghanaian, when I decided to relocate to Ghana to contribute my quote in the fight for development. I was made to feel unwelcome simply because I was considered to frank and open and therefore will not help the course of corrupt practises that was going on. I had to pack my bags and return back to the UK. When I return back to the UK, the UK government hired me and agreed to pay me £50,000 pound a year for my profession whereas in Ghana there was no single recognition of what my skill set are and how I was able to contribute to the common course.
