I was at the function. The demonstrators were no more than 20,and thought nothing about chanting 'Mahama is a thief' to the whole world. This compares to about 1000 people at the function. There was only a security check at the entrance of the Consulate which made sense given the President was attending with his ministers. No one asked us to present our credentials. In fact identifiable groups and the general public were invited.
President Mahama spoke very well, explaining several issues, including the 'dumso'. The primary cause, he said was the damage to the West African Gas pipeline and the adverse consequences for the Thermal Plant. Far from being a stammerer, President Mahama is very articulate an excellent communicator.
I can tell you that at the end of the function President Mahama was literally mobbed by well-wishers, and took him quite a while to move into the consulate offices.
Adofo, ask yourself this: what do you gain by washing your dirty linen in public? And what does it benefit our nation?
Please use your talents wisely, and not for selfish political ends.
