It will be beneficial to you people to install circuit breakers before the main connection line from outside get into your main switch board. In that case you are not 100% safe but it self a major purpose. I have experienced this one time when the ECG with their usual practice of dum so dum so, the power which came through emitted fire and completely burnt my switch board. Lucky the house was not raised down.
So a knowledgeable Electrician recommended to me to install a Circuit Breaker at the top of the main switch board which will in turn receive the ECG power first and then distribute it to the switch board. And like Mr. Adofo suggested, please be very concern about the cables you buy for your installations. Don't rely on cheap China products. E&OE.
