THIS IS TYPICAL OF THE GHANAIAN GOVERNMENT AT WORK. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO INVESTIGATE WHO APPROVED OF THE BUILDING PERMIT AND ISSUED CERTIFICATE OF FITNESS FOR PURPOSE, ETC.

The recent catastrophic factory building collapse in Bangladesh which resulted in fatalities well over 1000 should serve as a wake-up call to Ghana.
A responsible government will establish an inspection regime and building inspection offices in all regions and districts. These could be staffed with many of the unemployed but highly qualified graduates of KNUST's internationally-distinguished College of Architecture as well as its Faculty of Engineering.
But I have no hope such a process will happen, given the corrupt and vision-less government in power.
