We need leadership that unites rather than the one that makes division ion. Honour should be given where it is deserved. It is unbelievable as we strive to go forward as a nation action like this is still taken. We have more evidence that since the first president of te nation, actions of this kind has taken us backward. We have to voice out our protest so that this kind of action will never be repeated and also for those in authority to realise they are there to serve the interest of the total population of Ghana and not only their personal and political interest alone.

Kuffour did not only show maturity and good statesmanship, but also showed Mahama respect and honor by honoring his invitation during his inauguration and this is the favor he gets in return?
We all know Dr. Nkrumah cultivated or envisaged this very noble idea till president Kuffour came resurrecting it. Hence, why sideline him during this very august day and ceremony? What crime did he commit?
Mr President, if this is the way you are going to administer this very country, then am sorry you have already failed in your quest!

Doc., you have said it all and it is a great missed opportunity by Mr. Mahama and this has proved that he is lack of wisdom if it is not one of political antics he is displaying. His subordinates won't be spared the blame as they are all irresponsible individuals like Mahama himself who are there for their own selfish interest. I will say that a wedded man who goes around and unzipping his pants and breeding like a rabbit cannot be trusted. He is a con man and people who voted for him are out of their senses.
It is 47 years ago since Late Nkrumah's government ended and with successive governments that we have had, PNDC/NDC government have had 23 years out of the 47 years since Dr. Nkrumah's overthrown and PP/NPP have had 11 years on the throne. What can the country boast of under the rule of PNDC/NDC governing body? Absolutely nothing significant other than killings and confiscating of individuals assets under Kangaroo Courts. Just think about Nsawam to Suhum road which was started by Kuffour administration, up to date the road is still uncompleted. By the way go to Koforidua, the Housing Project started by Kuffour's government has been abandoned to rot. Is this the way to rule a country? Absolutely not. I think if the Bui Dam had not been of total national interest, believe you and me, it would have been left waste - any way Asiedu Nketia is benefiting from it and beefing NDC's monetary chest. Had Progressive Party(PP)of late Busia not toppled by late General Acheampong in 1972, the filth and choked gutters Accra Metro is witnessing today would have been no where. Successive governments are to put Country first attitude and continue with projects left by their predecessors and not leave them to rot. Shame Mahama, Shame NDC. E&OE.

Honestly, I think this is much ado about nothing, and I am surprised that Mr Kuffour, who I respect very much, made a big deal of a kind of emergency preliminary switching on of part of the functions of the dam to help deal with the energy crisis, while awaiting the real inauguration.
I do think that the government should not have made a big deal of the ceremony either, and should have rather emphasised the need to quickly bring the current operational portion of the dam into operation to alleviate the energy situation in the country to some extent, while waiting for the real inauguration.
It will be a pity if, at the real inauguration Mr Kuffour is invited but fails to turn up.
This project was Nkrumah's baby, and Kuffour had the vision to reactivate it, and Mahama has done the right thing to switch it on even before the other parts of it are ready. We should revel in this continuity of leadership by Ghanaian leaders for the benefit of the country.
But I was particularly surprised when Mr Kuffour wondered whether it was worth the trouble for him to have made all the efforts to initiate the project just because his sensibilities were hurt by the lack of invitation to the preliminary inauguration. I think he knows better that he did a yeoman's job in being far sight about this, which is now helping his successor to deal with an energy crisis in the country. That is where his efforts were worth it, and not the pointless issues of partial inaugurations and who attended them. Thicker skin please to our leaders, past and present.
But Mr Mahama should also learn from this that we are all human beings and that symbolisms do matter to us all.

If we are for a second to side with the lunatic, inward-looking rantings of the resident Say It Loud IDIOT, ZEO, the worshipper of mortals, then it is appropriate to say that the overthrow of Dr. Hilla Limaan by the imbecile Rawlings was driven along by pure tribalism.
Will the buffoon Zeo and his sidekicks tell the whole world while all the invisible hands , and faces that instigated 'designed' and implemented the unnecessary coup were Ewes?
Then again how come after the coup all the soldiers who participated in the cold blood murder of the three High Court Judges and the Retired Major all Akans were Ewes?
Now do you see why your kind must be the last to label anyone tribalistic? If Ghana is at the brink of tribal catastrophe don't look any further from your kind who for nineteen years of Rawlings misgovernance, deepened the tribal chasm.
It is only those suffering from political correctness and hypocrisy who would deny that your kind had been a major contibuting factor in destroying good tribal relations in our country
Have you heard the name Kofi Awoonor and now the decrepit Kpegah the Section 8 resident?

Mahama should have acknowledged that by inviting him to its inauguration bcos the man is still alive. How beautiful it would have been. Prez Mahama, I am afraid you did not get it right at all. What a missed opportunity to demonstrate to Ghanaians that Ghana is a nation that is worth toiling for. Prez. Mills brazed the same trail (changing the Jubilee House to Flag Staff House) and public opinion went against him. The way these NDC people are going - always trying to reap where they have not sown)- we shd not be surprised if we wake up one day only to hear that the Bui Dam has been named after Prez Mills or Prez. Mahama himself.
