An Abudu cat kept getting out of his enclosure at the zoo. Knowing that he could hop high, the zoo officials put up a ten foot fence. He was out the next morning, just roaming around the zoo.
A twenty foot fence was put up. Again he go out.
When the fence was forty feet high, an Abudu Guinea fowl in the next enclosure asked the Andani cat, "How high do you think they'll go?"
The Andani cat said, "About a thousand feet, unless somebody locks the Abudu gate the Andani gate and clean the choked gutters at night!

Tamale is choked by filth...but the writer could have gone on to describe how most of the inhabitants had to defecate in the open savannah breeding flies that spread bacteria back into the pito and brukutu and dog meat they love so much...
Why are we doing this to ourselves? These are very damning issues to deal with but as usual lazy Northerner politicians would not even blink an eye to such crucial issues affecting real people.
Tamale has always voted NDC and so one would have thought they would do something about this but they never did. Why does Tamale of all places vote for Inusah Fuseini who does not even have an O level certificate?
If an MP cannot help to provide basic sanitation to his people, then what is his use.
NDC government is just woeful. Wherever you go in Ghana the place stinks. Just look at the gutters behind the Castle Osu! Its filled with human waste and rubbish that has overflowed its banks.
I am so sorry to read this and regret that human beings could be deceived to vote according to tribal sentiments. Tamale is one area where they love bribery to vote at elections and serves them right.
Shame! Northerners, shame on you. You must be leading the way in the clean up of your area considering the age old experience of your forebears as Sanitation workers, but now look at the present conditions in the 21st century
Ghana is so poor and backward due to propaganda politics in the urban towns.
Go home and help your people, educated Northerners! Shame on you. We sent you to school free of charge only to turn your back on your own people!
Tamale is so filthy it stinks!

A Christian, playing an active role in his church's activites, backslided and started leading a wayward life. He was usually drunk most of the time and on one occasion, as he was staggering back home after leaving a beer parlor, he fell into a gutter.
He staggered back up, put one leg inside the gutter and kept going like that until his pastor saw him. "What are you doing brother?" the pastor asked while pulling him out of the gutter. The drunk then started shouting, "I am healed, I am healed, praise the Lord."
The embarrassed pastor then said, "I only pulled you out of the gutter," The drunk then stuttered, "Lord of Mercy, I thought I had been crippled by God."
