Holly stop this thing about "only God can save us" business. God has gone to great lengths to create you with prolific abilities. He has put you on earth with abundant resources to continue the business, and all that you people do is to run back to him to step in and save you from every little crisis you run into. We behave like spoilt little children from well-off homes who cannot do anything fr themselves.
It is us who voted for those shameful people who are in govt and Parliament so we are equally responsible for our plight. I bet you that if today there was another election, we will all rally and campaign to vote for them again and again. Judging by their collective silence and collusion to rob the nation by means of paper and pen, most Ghanaians who are complaining today may do the same thing if they were to be elected into parliament or govt.
This should tell us that it is not parliamentarians or govts per se who are causing the problem. It is the system that we have been fooled into thinking is a good system and which we have adopted and are currently running to our disadvantage. That system ensures that this unfortunate situation we are in now, can only get worse until we all wake up from our slumber.

It is true that if the way forward is what we are seeing now as Ghanaians then it is very bumpy indeed. If government is spending 60 to 70 percent of revenue on salaries, then something is seriously wrong with the governance.Mahama can get nothing done with this burden, but does he has the guts to make the necessary changes?.Corruption, big government and lies are what we are witnessing and this a clear manifestation of the rot in Ghana.

AFRICA MUST QUICKLY EMBRACE HON MARCUS GARVEY AND DR. KWAME NKRUMAH AND THEIR VISIONS FOR AFRICA WITHOUT DELAY TO HELP AFRICA MOVE TO THE TOP. IT IS TOO FRAGILE//DANGEROUS FOR AFRICA TO WASTE TIME IN EMBRACING HON MARCUS GARVEY AND DR. KWAME NKRUMAH AND THEIR VISIONS FOR AFRICA. IT IS A MUST/COMPULSORY THAT EVERY AFRICAN/STUDENT FROM THE LOWEST GRADE/KINGDERGARDEN TO THE MOST HIGHEST EDUCATION/UNIVERSITY AND A PROFESSOR MUST STUDY HON MARCUS GARVEY’S AND DR. KWAME NKRUMAH’S TEACHINGS/IDEAS ABOUT AFRICA. GOD BLESS AFRICA AMEN.

Hi Ayi:
Thanks a lot for hitting the nail right on the head that the only way out for us as a nation is to embrace the vision of Marcus Harvey and Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. I am planning to write an article on this before you came out. My question is; those who called themselves Nkrumaists, and celebrating his birthday with long speeches etc, do they want to tell me that they cannot continue from where Nkrumah left off??? Well, we the young ones will continue from where he left off very soon. Stay tuned. Shalom

Charles, I hope you could get your article in the media in Ghana, newspapers, radio and TV stations to generate serious discussions.
It appears, the so-called 'leaders' in Ghana have no VISION for the country's advancement. With the money they are taking from the state, if they were doing what they're being paid to do to move the country forward, the country could get somewhere.
The political, and business elites, chiefs, and civil servants, are all looking out for themselves.
The people of Ghana too must blame themselves. You go to Ghana and see corrupt practices and want to challenge it, your own people would tell you oh, that's how things are done in Ghana.
Until somebody shakes the people of Ghana from their slumber, to hold their politicians to account, nothing would change in that country.
Ghanaians must be assertive, and demand their rights when dealing with public servants. They must of course, bear their national responsibilities, and be patriotic a bit, ahba!
I just read somewhere that a Senior Police Officer of Ghana Police Svc admitted that some of his men and women who are supposed to protect and enforce the laws of Ghana, sell weapons to illegal Chinese miners in Ghana. Someone also in the small scale mining industry, says that the Police, Immigration and others officials extort money from the illegal miners and look the other way. Where is the country heading? The country is being raped by both Ghanaians and foreigners. Oh, pitiful people.

Can we still standby and think that coup d'tat can never happen in Ghana again? These are examples of day light robbery that can push some soldiers to take up arms to deal with people who want to collapse Ghana. Mark it on the wall. If we don't change our ways someone will come to set the records straight.
It will be better to derail our gains of 21 years of consistent democracy which is creating leaders who are robbers, in other to have an authoritarian regime that can whip us back in line. Or a civilian uprising like the Arab spring is imminent.
