Ah Cousin,
You offer the worst advice ever and I'm glad you're not charging a dime for it.
What a bad counselor you're. So a young fella writes you for advice and you heap upon the youngling those impossibly difficult advice listed from (1) to (16).
Cousin, tell me, which of those advice from (1) to (16) did you ever try? Had you followed your own advice from (1) to (16) you would've been lending me money with no interest, rebuilt the Winneba Library and been appointed the leader of Dentsefo Asafo.
So how dare you counsel the young lad to do the impossible?
You didn't even advice the kid to pursue bricklaying, electrician, car mechanic or canoe fishing as our folks did and fabulously succeeded.
Your advice #11 is the one that throws me in a fit of rage. Remember how you misspent your youth aimlessly at the fishing beach , being a porter and seeking reward in herring?
The best thing that happened to you was training college taking you away from Winneba to rethink other fruitful options.
Thus I was surprised you didn't even advice the kid to try teacher training.
All that academic pursuit stuff you advised from (1) to (3) cost a lot of money and there's no guarantee reaping any payback. Just look at the numerous people wielding all sorts of big degree qualifications who submit the worst articles ever to appear in cyberspace.
Your advice is really disappointing and non-practical. I wish you'll re-evaluate your awful stance in these matters and become a good mentor.
Tradesmen these days make a good living, regardless of the economy. Advice the kid to learn a trade, earn money to purchase his own tools and become his own boss.
Stop this blind chase in academics and leave behind the Listology that's always woven in your articles. They are not needed.
How did you sneak in this listology in advising the youth:
George Bernard Shaw, Alexander the Great of Macedonia, Bob Marley,
John F Kennedy, Chinua Achebe, Henry Longfellow, Alfred Lord Tennyson
Haba, Cousin. Anyway, take your own advice #11 and quit drinking that powerful Zambian Beer when you write your articles.
Saalute from forehead to waist, whaaaaaam.
