Osei Poku, your antedote to solving the ever increasing strikes in Ghana is really abecedarian. No normal Ghanaian would want Doctors, Teachers and Pharmacists to go on strike. It bodes no Ghanaian any good. It is some of the irresponsible decisions taken by the governments that result in strikes. If the country has no money, many workers will understand. After all, some new teachers and nurses sometimes work for 18 months before they are paid. Is that fair when at the same time MPs and government appointees have their salaries doubled, fat rent allowances , and outrageous ESBs paid to them pronto. How can each MP be paid so much money as ESB for every 4 years they serve? This is where the problems start. How can the government now convince the hard working workers it has no money? Osei-Poku, can you explain that? Are you not aware of how politicians, both NDC and NPP just misuse the country's money? If politicians can display wealth like that, then expect workers to be aggrieved.
Your suggestion that the government should have a kind of back up workers to replace those on strike is humurous. If teachers, UTAG, Doctors and Pharmacists go on strike, where can the government get the back up workers to replace them?
As a Political Science student, I hope you understand the dynamics of democratic governance. Workers in most instances have the right to go on strike(except those in critical areas). Ghana is no Cuba, China or North Korea which are communists. I wish you can explain to government and to the politicians that the MONKEY DEY WORK BABOON DEY CHOP should stop and workers can also be reasonable in dealing with them. Promises made by government must also be fulfilled. Then, workers will not think of strike. Until then she should gird on the loins for more strike because other workers are also watching.

This author has portray himself as stupid, idiot and ignorant. Can the Gov,t replace the striking doctors with Kayayos or idiot like you? How long does it takes to train a doctor. Why should illiterates politicians steal the Nation;s money including the president himself whilst the doctors are deprive of what is due to them genuinely. whilst their action will cause untow hardship to innocent ghanains becos of the importance of thier service and is regretable, they still cannot be used as sacrificial lambs and therefore their action is desirable

If this Emmanuel Osei-Poku is a true political science student at Legon, theN, we are in deep serious trouble.Educational standards have practically fallen steep deep at Legon. I wonder if at his professed level, he has ever studied the causes of wars and labour strike actions.Does he know that at times there must be a war to answer the question of supremacy? READ ABOUT GOD & LUCIFER! If the body called gov`t is not existing for the people, strike action by workers is justified. Why owe workers, to start with? The writer has a lot to study if he is not to turn out as a half-baked or poorly-baked politician.
