Is this forum only used for NPP propaganda? It appears that this is mostly what I see in this section all the time. I am not an NDC supporter, but whoever it is who is supplying us with this information needs to check their source and also be sensitive to the audience. I am not interested in hearing NDC propaganda or NPP propaganda. We need to come together as a nation to improve living conditions for the average Ghanaian. Forget about whether a person is Ewe, Ashanti, Muslim, Christian etc. We are all Ghanaian.

I agree we need to come together as a nation to improve living conditions for Ghanaians. Unfortunately, coming together will not lead to improvement unless we have a competent leader and party in government. At this time only Nana Addo or Mr. Nduom have the right leadership and discipline to effect that change.

If the government can achive these, the economy will start budding.

Oh mother Ghana, when will your children unplug their politically wax- filled ears and wash their jaundiced eyes, and for once put politics aside and face realities?
Folks, if as recently as June 2012, government spent 25% on its wage bill but is now spending 75% (a 200% increase), then there is great cause for concern. If the comparisons with the developed world was done in absolute terms, then I would disregard Justice's message. Rather, it's in relative terms and we as a country should aim in the long run to hit such targets. Theirs is international best practice!!!
Justice is giving us an insight into the causes of this huge jump in government wage bill. You and I know that in 2012 the salaries of the security service personnel were increased threefold! We can't but pay for that singular act, for you can't sow ginger and reap turnip!! Once you give a pay increase to someone, you can't reduce it as the beneficiaries will resist fiercely. They'll not sit down for their new found wealth to be taken away from them - they've acquired new lifestyles and they are NOT ready to go back to the past!
As a country, we are facing the painful realities of the burgeoning wage bill of government which has resulted in the Ministry of Finance not having enough to meet other government liabilities. How sad!
Just listen to what the Minister of Roads & Highways has to tell road contractors working on government contracts, that there is no money now to pay them! Imagine you were a road contractor who has borrowed heavily from banks to fund government road projects, with the understanding that you'll be paid as agreed, only to be told government has no money to pay you!!! Meanwhile, interest on the bank loans you took has not been frozen but keeps rising, and the banks are at your back. What would you do? Some of such contractors may have developed hypertension, depression and many other stress-cum-anxiety related diseases!!! And remember this knows no party colours!
Yes, national crisis does not know party colours so for the country's sake, for the sake of our children and future generations, let us call a spade a spade and find solutions to the serious crisis our country is facing.
It'll be extremely foolhardy on anybody's part to play politics with the situation and thus refuse to admit the current harsh economic realities!!!
If we keep playing propaganda with our national needs, that propaganda will sent this country down the abyss!!!
Let us not play the ostrich, my countrymen and countrywomen!!!!
Cry our beloved country Ghana!!!

So if your revenue is 1 cedi and you pay 75 cent out of it is Mr Smart it will be high but if the revenue is $100 and you pay 75 cent it will be lower. This is just a laymans view.

What do we have successive governments for? So they can continue where the former ended but from another point of view, so NPP may have founded the ideas youare talking about..KUDOS TO THEM...but it is not wrong for continuing governments to continue the works started by previous governments.

You are an idiot par excellence. There is nothing at all wrong for another party to continue what one has started but when you fail to execute it well, don't blame the other party for saddling you with a policy you don't want to execute. Ndc praised themselves for executing the SSSS policy well and used it in their campaign. They called it as one of their achievements. Now that it is coming out as a failure, they are blaming NPP. You cannot take credit for something when it is doing well and blame somebody else when it becomes a failure. Get real, will you?

How many times do I have to educate you idiots with illiterate brains that Ghana does not own 10% of Jubilee field but 13.75% but 5% royalties and 35% corporate tax on gross income?
EO group which you are referring to as owned by Kuffour does not own 3.5% of Jubilee field but 1.75% which translates to 3% of Kosmos shares. This is where fools like you who want to sound intelligent falls short and expose your illiteracy on this issue.
EO group owns 3% of Kosmos shares because EO group contract is not with Ghana government but with Kosmos. If you translate the 3% of Kosmos shares to the overall ownership of the Jubileefield, EO group has only 1.75% of Jubilee field and Ghana has 13.75%
Why don't you ask yourself why Ndc has stopped talking about Kuffour haven't sold our oil for only 10% The answer is that because it is not true and it is the NDC even with the evidence that we have oil on our coastline entered into contract with TAP OIL of Australia for Keta Basin oil coastline and signed for only 10% and that contract was signed on behalf for Ghana by the present Energy Minister, Buah. Do you know why NDC has stopped talking about the issue that you dumbass has raised? They have done worse. At least if you combine what EO group and GNPC shares, Ghana was able to get 15.5% whilst NDC signed for only 10%. Go and get educated on this issue before you moronic asshole bring that issue here again, FOOL.
