What you have written in this article, Dr. Ohemeng is very sensible. I understand why Mr. Safo Kantanka has left the EC. If I were him, I would not continue signing affidavits on behalf of the EC chair if what I am made to swear to is not credible. Why would people who are remunerated by tax payers commit this alleged conspicuous lie on the people of Ghana and the world? If the EC will learn a lesson or two from David in the Bible, they should know that it is more devastating to cover up ones iniquity than make an admission or confession as early as possible. President Mahama should think outside the box and initiate an out-of-court settlement of some sort with the petitioners, if that is even possible at this stage. They should not try to defend this evidence with any manufactured pink sheets or unnecessary stalling tactics.

What bothers me is that all the 11 thousand polling stations the NPP is crying foul are the places won by the president. So what happened in the Ashanti Region?, Eastern Region and some parts of the Western region? If you have some time kindly put the same strict prove on the election results in the Ashanti region and you would be amazed. One million would be a joke and Nana's total would really surprise you. The persentage would rather be higher than what crushed Nana. You see, the joke is that the difference is just three hundred thousand so a little manipulation would turn the table. I started by going through the comments after a cursory glance of the article but quickly realized the need to fully read the whole article.I thought it was going to be explosive but balanced analysis but I was disappointed because the whole article turned out to be a damp squid!An npp fanatic doing their usual thing.The premise of the analysis was flawed using the Guide an npp die hard partisan newspaper as the basis of the articles most cogent conclusions.The Ostrich would have done better in hiding its political allegiance than this die hard npp fanatic.
In the first place the writer admitted that he had not seen the respondents response to the petitioners affidavit so in effect he used only one side of the argument as the basis of his analysis and evaluation.How does he judge the quality of such a work? It is shoddy at best and academically very poor.
The materials used for the article came sorely from npp petitioners affidavit and he thought that was sufficient material to do a good job.He also used the npp papers as the basis of his analogy and his conclusion.What a trash.Most importantly the one million figure had been disputed by the EC and the number of registrants have also been explained but this writer believed in that of the npp.This is academic dishonesty of the highest order and must be ignored.

I feel sorry for what we call in my part of the Central Region, "Simpa Panyin" Afari-Djan. Unless he is very stupid (and knowingly took some derisory incentive for it), this whole thing was done over his head. I am not sure why he is still trying to defend the indefensible.
Whether it is over-voting, non-verification or wrong assignemnet of votes, the Law was definitely violated. I am not sure why the man still wants to carry the can. I would think that resigning and apolgising to Ghanaians for what happened while "his eyes were off the ball", is a more dignified option than waiting to be humiliated at the Supreme Court.
