Soo SAD, this SADA idea is already a FLOP. A BAD beginning indeed! This SADA discussion is being made to look like the property of the three Northern Regions which in reality, is not true. The real truth is, Government of Ghana is developing the three northern regions and part of Brong Ahafo to come to terms with the development of the southern Ghana using SADA as tool. It is not that any funding going into the SADA project is just thrown out to any individual to develop a commercial entity to propel that as is being used today. Going into partnership with Asongtaba owning the larger share is against the trend of SADA establishment. Again, the investigative element narrowing to the three Northern Regional Ministers is a laughing matter. Why? Should be any investigation, it should involve the whole state investigative body. Ghana should not be treated this way. My caution to the entire northerners is that SADA must work else, the state cannot afford to look for another FUNDING to equal the developmental in-equality in future

Dr Bawumia raised this issue during the 2012 campain/vice presidential debate. He raised the red flags over how the NDC were abusing SADA but at the time we thought it was political talk. Only of Ghanaians had taken heed then. Unfortunately, like Woyome, Osofoton, Cocaine turned Baking soda, 20m NDC head quarters and all the other corruption allegations will never see the light of day, all these allegations will die a slow death like all the others. This is Ghana where corruption pays.

Fatima, with so many government contracts directed to this company that ownership apart from Agambire is unknown with ghost names and fictitious address, MAHAMA should have shown real leadership if he would have released information about his tax forms showing where his income apart from his Presidential salary is coming from. How much did he earn, how much tax did he pay and the source of that income.
MAHAMA paid his taxes and made political capital out of it without telling us the details and some people think that is something he should be praised for doing something ordinary Ghanaians do every year.
Even the Bible says that, to whom much is given, much should be expected and MAHAMA praising himself for paying his taxes is like a father taking care of his children and demanding to be praised for doing something that is his responsibility.

Justice, first of all, I take very serious issue with your title which insinuates that somehow president Mahama is 'enjoying life at the expense of northerners. Whatever you wish to say about the president and his government, please LEAVE "NORTHERNERS" OUT OF IT. The president DOES NOT, and HAS NEVER REPRESENTED Northerners. This happens to be a politician who hails from Bole in the Northern region and although I do not know him personally, I do not recall even from his own account in his recent book, any particular focus of his interest or agenda on "Northerners".
You accuse the president (and indeed his wife of whom you appear to have a rather deem view) of "CORRUPTION" and want to suggest that somehow your characterisation is not worse than Rockson Adofo calling the president "A THIEF". In fact, a corrupt person is essentially worse than a thief, and within the meaning of the word corrupt is 'buried' the word 'thief'. So you do the president no favours at all by your own description. If anything, yours is worse. As I am sure you already know, I detest such name-calling, and was deeply hurt as a Ghanaian at the types of insults the late president Mills received during his tenure from mostly NPP sympathisers and functionaries such as yourself. It is really bad and disheartening to hear fellow Ghanaians so deride their leaders and people they happen not to agree with (for whatever reasons).
Now to address your rather disjointed discourse which I urge you to be careful about (because someone could decide to take you on for libel if you do not have the facts to back your accusations in a court of law). You seem to have taken a lot of interest in Mr Agambire, a Guruni (what if popularly called Frafra) businessman whom you wish to link with the president in a rather 'dubious assertion'. I am glad by your own account, the said Mr Agambire's company (that you seem to have taken so much interest in, and have visited company house website to obtain registration details of)was registered in Ghana in 2004. This was under the Kuffuor regime, when the NDC and Mahama were not in fact, in power.
I do not know Mr Agambire personally, but was mightily impressed to read his resume, and to see how a Ghanaian from humble beginnings had worked so hard to make it for himself. I was also touched by his benevolence and his efforts to create opportunities for others less fortunate than himself. I seem to recall he won an external award in 2012 for his entrepreneurial services. Won't you be proud if that were your own brother, cousin or the mere fact that he is Ghanaian? I have been equally proud of other Ghanaians who seem to be making it big in the IT sector both in Ghana and elsewhere.
There is a gentleman called "Koo Nsiah" by his friends, a pharmacist and astue businessman in Ghana. He hails from the Asante Region and is one of the most impressive entrepreneurs in Ghana today. Not only has he been successful in producing generic drugs for Ghana and the West Africa region, he is also now into other business ventures and owns two very big factories in Accra. I am very proud of Koo Nsiah and delighted to call him a friend. Koo happens to be NPP-leaning, and like you, was hugely disappointed that the party did not do better at the polls e.g. winning less parliamentary seats. I also believe Koo would prefer to have seen Nana Akuffo Addo as president (but that is yet to be decided). Why am I telling Koo's story? It is simply because as a fellow Ghanaian, I am proud to see someone succeed in this way, and through a lot of hard work.
Koo Nsiah unfortunately was a target of NDC operatives not long ago, but thankfully, their wild accusations and suspicions were all found to be unfounded and I hope that he will go on to do even more for Ghana and his own family. Justice, you own a company in Ghana which employs 17 people and you are proud to let everyone know how you are contributing to the economy and people's livelihood. My advice to you is to examine again what Mr Agambire does, and the many lives he has affected through his business and charity work. You will find that you, Justice, have a very long way to go to catch up in terms of your contribution and impact on the Ghana economy.
How on earth do you think that a businessman, setting up his business in 2004, and building it up to where he is now, would suddenly benefit from the president (or vice president) and now the two of them are living off Northerners? Are you real?
By the way "Asongtaba" in Guruni actually means - Let us 'HELP', 'SUPPORT' EACH OTHER. This is quite different from your characterisation of "scratching other people's back". Asongtaba is no different from "Nnoboa or Ndoboa" and came out of a tradition among the Gurunis during the farming season where one person goes to help his neighbour weed his farm, and then they take turns in HELPING EACH OTHER until they all have their field cleared. Whilst the men are at it, the women also do similarly, with the sowing of the seeds etc. By the way, some of the women may also have their own cottage industry e.g. making "kulekule" (groundnut cake) or small holdings of groundnut farms and vegetable fields. The whole process of Asongtaba is always a joy to behold and brings out of the people the true spirit of partnership, brotherliness, friendship and a sense of community.
I am proud to see that Mr Agambire has taken this concept and philosophy into his own business practices and set up several ventures that you yourself have described e.g. "basketry" which I presume is to help the young, talented but not well educated men and women to come together and weave baskets and other items for the domestic and I guess international markets!! You know the best "baskets, leather bags and other such items come from Northern Ghana and living in /America, I am sure you have seen some of these paraphernalia on US markets and in Malls, just as your traditional Kente and other similar rich Ghanaian (and other African) fabrics have found their way into the overseas markets.
Now tell me Justice, what is wrong with Agambire trying to HELP his PEOPLE emancipate themselves and to have a livelihood? Is this any different from what you yourself are trying to do by employing 17 people to work for you? The difference perhaps is in scale as well as the primary purpose or ambition. I also believe those ventures you refer to, are quite separate from Agambire's much larger business interests, and rather than 'scrounging on Northerners' don't you think he is helping them economically? As national president (irrespective of where I come from), I would be very pleased to team up with such a person and to work with him to do even better and help the "Better Ghana Agenda".
The fact that they both happen to hail from Northern Ghana is immaterial as far as I am concerned and I am sure you will agree with me that YOU, the AKAN do not shy away from working with your own people and helping them in numerous ways. I rather admire that sense of loyalty and community and industry among the Akans, something that we see a lot among e.g. Jews, which in my view has held the Jewish People together over millennia!!! What is wrong with a businessman from the north working closely with a president of Ghana who happens to come from the north? And somehow, they are "guilty by association" in your books?
Sometimes I find it quite staggering how you and Rockson are able to come up with your wild deductions, accusations and 'make-believe' assertions about other people. You seem to be very good at picking at 'straws' and trying to turn them into 'brooms' where these do not exist. If you have evidence of corruption, thievery or any other acts of dishonesty involving anyone (including the Ghana presaident), please, by all means bring these up and send the information out to the right quarters. What I disagree with you on, is the manner in which you go about trying to paint people when in my (forgive me) rather 'naive' reading of your accusations, find it just too 'porous to hold any molecule of water'.
I have given you two scenarios of examples of successful Ghanaian businessmen - Koo Nsiah, an Akan, and Agambire, a northerner whom you accuse of corruption. I have also attempted to compare their efforts and outputs to the little I know about your own contribution to our economy. I hope this provides you some food for thought, and others who think like you. My word of caution is, please be careful whom you accuse and how and why. Remove the scale off your eyes, take the "party" and "tribe" away, just start thinking like a fellow Ghanaian and think of how we can all help to improve things as they stand.
I am sure you are among those who lament the "backwardness" of the north or the relative lack of development (as I prefer to put it) from that region. Don't you think the likes of Agambire (and there are many others like that of all tribes) ought to be commended, admired and encouraged to do more for Ghana, and if they were your own brother or sister (e.g. Mrs Mahama, the First Lady), won't you feel proud of them and be proud that you have Ghanaians like that? Just think, if these people were from your own village or clan!! I certainly would feel proud of them wherever they come from in Ghana and I believe I have proved that to you today.

Paul, you want me to leave Northerners out of it, sorry I cannot do that. Southerners have always been accused by Northerners as the reason the North is not developed because they discriminate against them as if the Southern part of Ghana is developed. There are some Regions in the South that need the attention and the assistance SADA is supposes to give to the North.
All Ghanaians will benefit from the projects initiated and implemented in the SADA zone directly and indirectly and these projects are being financed by all Ghanaians and not the Northerners alone. The reason for the title is that, MAHAMA and his business partner are cheating the poor Northerners by entering into 'Holt's alliance of corruption and shortchanging Northerners directly and the whole Ghanaians indirectly by not using the allocated monies for these projects and rather using the money for their own benefit.
The Guinea fowl project alone is supposedly worth GHc40 million, fifteen million from government of Ghana and twenty five million from Agambire. Do you really believe Agambire has sunk twenty five million of his own money and assets into a project without any visible assets except the 600 Guinea fowls and twenty eggs?
Paul, I am very surprised Northerners are not demanding accountability from this Guinea fowl and tree planting projects which they are the direct beneficiaries and instead attack those of us demanding answers. It is the Southern Ghanaians who will get the blame if the poverty in the North is not addressed. I do have an interest these projects are implemented to benefit all Ghanaians instead of the few Northern Elites scamming the projects to failure. You might not agree with me but I believe I am fighting a noble cause to protect Ghanaian taxpayers money.

If you choose to attack president Mahama, Agambire or any other person e.g. Asiedu Nketiah, Wireko-Brobbey or Kwame Mpianim, I am simply saying you should attack them as individuals. Why does your attack have anything to do with northerners? I simply cannot understand your premise, that somehow the acts (or omissions) of these individuals is draining something from Northerners, or that these alleged issues have been carried out by these individuals to profit from northerners?
I thought you hads come to a certain level of understanding and intellectual honesty, but if you insist on continuing along these bigoted tribal lines, I will have no other cause but to cease dialoguing with you. I would rather address issuesinvolving individuals in their own right and not link it to their tribes. I also abhor misinterpretation of what I try to put across. Howeever I know most level headed readers can see through what each one of us is saying.
It is a pity you cannot focus on issues of a broad church but allow your own Akan nationalism (or sdhall I call if fascism) to cloud your values and vision. I deeply regret that. As for Akadu, I cannot for the life of me understand where she is coming from and if she chooses to accuse me of tribalism, I am happy and proud to be a northerner although that is no no consequence to what I do or say.
Believe you me, there are northerners who would probably suggest that I am "not a true northerner" as indeed a few have attempted to do in the past. I am not ashamed of my northern roots, nor am I ashamed to be a proud Ghanaian, I am rather ashamed that I somehow share the latter characterisation with people like you and Akadu!

"I thought you hadst come to a certain level of understanding and intellectual honesty, but if you insist on continuing along these bigoted lines,"
Paul, this is really sad coming from an educated Northerner. What is the bigotry here trying to prevent some few rich Northerners from hijacking a noble project that can help thousands of poor Northerners to earn a decent living? It's a sad day when a Ghanaian criticizing another Ghanaian is called a bigot because he is not from the same tribe as the person being critized.
I can infer from your arguments that you don't care if the SADA money ends up in the pocket of the few powerful and rich Northerners at the expense of the poor souls in the North because those stealing are also Northerners like yourself. That is the meaning of tribalism and if you are not tribalistic, you would have joined me to make sure this SADA money benefits tens of thousands of Northerners and not only Agambire and his partners.
"It is a pity you cannot focus on issues of broad church but allow your own AKAN nationalism(or shall I call it fascism) to cloud your values Ans vision."
Whew!!!, Paul, I did not know you are also afflicted with this disease called "AKANPHOBIA" and that you have a complex called low self esteem as a Northerner. So any AKAN who criticizes MAHAMA is a fascist? Paul, take stock of introspection of yourself and you will see that, you are really the person you are describing others of being. To you, nobody, whether AKAN or from any other tribe should criticize anybody from the North. I would have chalked your thoughts to nothingness if it was coming from an illiterate Northerner but coming from an Academician like yourself, that is really scary. I wonder how the illiterate Northerners think if a so called educated Northerner cannot accept an opposing view without interjecting tribalism, fascism and racism into it as you have done.
As far as being ashamed of calling yourself as a Ghanaian because of me and Akadu, I don't blame you because if I meet you introducing yourself to people in UK as a Ghanaian, I will take another African nationality as you are a poor excuse of a Ghanaian. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

But believe you me, If I have to defend anyone, including NORTHERNERS who are being wrongfully attacked like in this case, I will without hesitation and you call me whatever you will.

One thing's for sure, Justice can be very tribalistic and as I have pointed out in the past, needs to 'grow out of his "superiority Complex" and take off the scales so that he can operate more as a Ghanaian. He also needs to show respect where it is due e.g. to people in high office, and stick to his accusations as long as they have a factual basis, without linking them to tribe or creed. By all means be partisan where necessary, but remain objective at all times and show respect to others. Akadu lost me a long time ago and frankly I do not respect her views at all, having come to know how hypocritical and fake she is.
I even found myself defending her once on this forum, only to find that she was completely fake and an extreme tribalist and partisan who only sees things through those two eyes - tribe and party. Therefore she cannot believe that others can confront issues of a "tribal nature" without being tribalistic! She is simply obnoxious and not worth my intellectual engagement.

Now since you believe that the whole Ghana is in the same situation, why then is Northerners complaining about being discriminated against in terms if sharing the national cake? If the who Ghana is in the same situation, does it not make it discriminatory to set up an regency like SADA to develop the three Northern Regions?
