MAHAMA IS RIGHT. OUR PASTORS SHOULD GO TO ISRAEL TO PRAY. YOU THINK $2 MILLION IS TOO MUCH MONEY? THEN YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH GOD CAN BLESS GHANA. SPEND $2 MILLION AND BE BLESSED IN BILLIONS.
SOW A SEED, AND SEE HOW GOD BLESSES GHANA. THOSE WHO DONT TRUST IN THE LORD WORRY ABOUT HOW MUCH THE TRIP IS GOING TO COST. FORGET ABOUT THE TRIP. SHOW THIS SEED AND SEE THE GLORY OF GOD MANIFESTED ON GHANA.
MAHAMA IS GOING THE RIGHT THING IN SENDING PASTORS TO ISRAEL TO PRAY FOR GHANA. GOD BLESS GHANA.

Mr So called Prophet Kofi Sei, God has given man knowledge for a reason. No more manner will come to us. God has given us everything and yet we want him to come than to build the roads, hospitals, factories and clean our gutters for us and that wont happen.
Only psychotic Christians will travel to Israel to pray. Mahama, I have liked you in the past but I have to say, get serious and face the problems and stop this utter r*bb**h.

“Daddy, there’s some preacher come to visit, and Momma wants you to come in and meet him” The farmer said “Son, I have to finish here, but I need your help. Go back inside and tell mom that I’ll be there in a little while; find out which preacher it is; and do this:
If it’s the Catholic priest, hide the bottle of wine, he’ll drink it all if you don’t.
If it’s the Lutheran minister, hide the cookie jar with Momma’s butter and egg money in it, he’ll talk her out of all of it.
And if it’s the Baptist preacher, you sit on Momma’s lap until I get there!”

I was vehemently opposed to the upcoming Jerusalem pilgrimage for 200 hundred Christian pastors until I heard/read that since Nkurmah's time the Muslims have been aided to attend Haji at Mecca.. REALLY, SAY WHAT NOW?
I read that as much as 300 Muslims are sponsored every year to attend Mecca? Is one's expression of his or her religious beliefs not a private matter? Why should Government get involved at all?
Then, I happened to be up to hear reactions on a morning show against what Rev. Mantey said - I heard our Muslim brothers vehemently defending their rights for government to support them because Haji is a pillar of Islam whereas, Jerusalem is not a mandate in the Christian religion? Who told them that? That they go to Mecca to also offer prayers for Ghana- NO, they go to Mecca to achieve a tenant of their religion and come back with some big title like Alhaji & Hajia etc- how does that benefit Ghana? Are they saying that if the Pastors go to Jerusalem, their prayers will not equally benefit the Ghana?
Firstly, the Bible commands us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem; that they prosper who pray for the City of Zion- the Bible is silent on where these prayers be offered- so, it cannot be said that Christians must not go on a pilgrimage at least once to visit the place they are commanded to pray for-RIGHT?
Secondly, the Bible clearly says under the Abrahamic covenant that "those who bless (the Jewish people) are blessed , those who curse them are curse"- Now in the New Testament, it clearly says that those under grace ( me), can claim the blessings of Abraham through Faith- Now what does that mean? Does grace mean, that we don't have to physically pay out tithes and offerings to the Church for the spreading of the gospel anymore? NO- Does grace mean that the Law of Moses is obsolete? No! Christ our Messiah clearly told us that He came to fulfill the law, not to do away with it, and so I think that even thou we modern day believers in Messiah are under grace through faith instead of works, and have direct access to the "holies of holies" through the blood of Jesus, we can still go to Jerusalem, if we want because it is the city of God; our inheritance in the Millennium rule is in the City of Zion- we shall all be required to make a yearly visit then- thus when we pray for Jerusalem and visit the place to bless, we not only blessing the Jewish people, we are also staking out our future inheritance in Messiah both Jew and Gentile ( one new man in Messiah.
I said all this to say that IF the Muslims do receive help to go to Mecca, then there is nothing wrong with Christian pastors also receiving help from the government to go to Jerusalem to pray and pilgrimage and renew their faith in Messiah.
Ghana is 70% Christian and I see nothing wrong with the Christian sponsorship, if the government will continue to sponsor the 20% Muslims- either SCRAP the whole thing or treat "similarly situated people similarly" PERIOD!
I am still very concern about priorities thou, cost and if government should be sponsoring any group at all, especially in the mist of all the hardship that Ghanaians are undergoing presently with no water and electricity et all...
AND, it is a MYTH that there is separation of church and state in Ghana- for me I see Christianity as the de-facto religion of the Republic of Ghana, and Islam, and traditional religions are allowed free expressions...folks, let's be honest- for those of us who schooled in Ghana for a time, how many times did you sing any muslim songs at daily assembly in your schools, both public and private? We assembled and sang Christian songs and marched to our classes with Christian songs( onward Christian Soldiers to be exact-lol)- both Christian and muslims children sang this during my time and still do it. Now, I also know that Muslims children are allowed to be excused from classes during their religious holidays, while Christian children stay in school.
Now, to our muslims brothers who are issuing threats against Rev Mantey's freedom of speech, I will caution them to desist from doing so and allow all to express their opinions and allow democracy to thrive for all to live in peace!

Bro, let's not pit Christians against the Muslims on this. I don't think Ghanaians are totally rejecting all kinds of sponsorship by the government. I believe it's more about the sudden interest in sending these clergies to pray in Israel. Ghanaians were not made to warm up to that pilgrimage, so the "nouvell aspect of it is what cause people to act the way we are now. On the other hand the Muslims have been going every year and not just the clergies but whoever is prepared to do the haj. And if they go to Mecca they do so for themselves and not for the country. They may pray for Ghana whilst they are there but not as programmed as the Israel pilgrimage is made to believe. I am very sure Ghana will not send 200 Muslims to Mecca or Iraq to pray and expect not to get the same reactions from Ghanaians. We have every right to critique unjustifiable conducts but we should be open minded as well.

You don't even understand what christianity is all about.God can hear prayers anywhere in the world. The Israelis lost their homeland and were taken into captivity when they went apostate and adopted many practices of Baalism, nothwithstanding the ministries of such great prophets as Elijah. The northern kingdom comprising ten tribes were carried away captive into Assyria and have never returned. They're known as the 10 lost tribes. The Southern kingdom made up of Judah and Benjamin also were taken captive at a different time and only returned in 1948 when the United Nations created a state for them.
We don't need the pastors' trip to Jerusalem before God hears our prayers. What we need is a repentant nation and repentant leaders. When a nation rejects God he rejects them too. Don't deceive yourself and don't let the foolish pastors also deceive you.
