I think Bokor is getting disappointed with his showboy Mahama. Having heaped vile vituperations on Mahama's main opponent on the political arena, now the NDC intellectual champion is getting agitated with the imbecile Mahama whom he swore to support in life or in death.
Even a child in Ghana now knows that Mahama hardly sleeps in the night and is always looking up to some divination to save him from crashing down to mother earth like a dead wood in the forest. I hope Bokor will not get heart attack when the 'unthinkable' happens and Mahama's grand old man opponent, who he (Bokor) hates to see, takes charge of Ghana and within a short period of 4 years, transforms the country.
Meanwhile the grandest deceptionist cum political thief Ghana has ever known, Mahama will even be finding a way of climbing the sky to meet Jesus to save him and his stolen crown. The sponsored trip of pastors (many of whom are too eager to go to the Holy Land just to tour) is to say the least, a desperate act by a President who has shifted his focus from managing a country to desperately trying to survive by all means.
And Mahama knows that if he loses his crown, his whole world will crash on him - his role in the death of his predecessor, the gargantuan payments to Woyome and others, the aircrafts and hangar issues, STX loans etc.
The little Bokor can do now is to pray for his friend who is DESPERATE.

Three months into his mandate, this President is dissipating the little goodwill that ordinary Ghanaians have for him and his administration on useless ventures that will certainly come back to haunt him! To date,he does not have the full complement of the the men and women he requires to help him steer the affairs of this nation, and look at what he is expending his energies on?

Easter is around the corner! From your article you seem not to be a christian! A lot of these head of the churches who also came out with their negative comments also goofed! They would have prefered the monies were given to their various congrgations to finance their "big dos". Easter is around the corner and if some people want to sponsor christian to make a trip to Jerusalem, what's wrong with that? A lot of these Pastors get up and cricize the Govt. day-in day-out, but what happens in their congregations and their private luxurious activities and lives ,they term God's blessing! They would be more creditable and convincing if only they would first "get rid of the logs in their eyes" in order to see the tiny splinter in the eyes of others! Everything has now been politicized, people are abusing the freedom and democracy that the country is enjoying , till oneday another "messiah" appears and subject us to another round of tyranny! No one should come with "we shall fight against that with our last breath; Ghanaians as I know them would "scatter" at the sound of the first bazooka- people even shiver whenever JJ "booms", how much more at the sound of bazooka?!?!?! Its about time that Ghanaians get serious with their lives and concentrate on important issues!!! So so talk, talk ! People even don't realize that there are other important things going on apart from "Pilgrimgate"! Everything is now centered on "Pilgrimgate", even our arguements and analysis of other important issues are influenced by "Pilgrimgate" This would go on for days on end till something trivial crops up again. Months later it would occur to somebody ,"ei what happened to the Dr Bawumia, is he now okay? And what happened to the budget debate?!

How much longer are the other doubting Thomases going to keep doubting that thing is a duck when it has been walking like a duck, quacking like a duck and looking like a duck everyday?
Much as I'd hate to be the skunk at John Mahama's garden party as he nonchalantly celebrates an undeserved election victory, the truth is the man is fast sinking into political oblivion with his reputation of deliberate incoherence and constantly lying through his teeth to ghanaians. Mahama is an established slobber who just can't keep his nose clean. But what else can discerning ghanaians expect from the leader of this new class of political waste and mediocroty? They have lied about everything including Mills terminal illness to the circumstances sorrounding his sudden demise to stealing the elections to the scandal behind the Iran-bound shipload of gold seized by Turkish authorities and now to the controversial pastors' sponsored trip to Israel.
The NDC was formed on lies and deception and its survivability has been been predicated on these two wobbly pillars. There are many copy cats waiting in the wings of the party to begin another new class of political waste and mediocrity. The big surprise for them is that Michael and millions of ghanaians are suddenly awake. Voters are fickle lovers and as naivety and gullibility finally evaporate from the minds of ghanaians we'd no longer countenance their gross incompetence and propensity for lies and deception and massive corruption and we'll put them to final rest in the dustbin of our political history.

Before 2012 elections Nana Akuffo Addo and some executives were in Israel crying at the wailing walls for the God of Israel to give them power. That power like a mirage fleeted at the polls. The question to ask NPP members is that did Nana Akuffo Addo solved all the problems confronting the party before going to Israel? We also did not heard from Ghanaian Levis that pilgrimage is not a pillar in Christianity and did some Levis went to Israel with Nana Akuffo Addo? Does government, and therefore the state also give gifts and donations to various religious groups when they are celebrating their religious festivals? I am also of the view that if the state is not supposed to give any support to Christians, then Sunday would not have been a public holiday in Ghana, so other day would have been fixed as resting day for workers and Christians would have been left with when they want to serve their god at their own expense.
I am also of the view that on the day Christian leader or the Levis were invited to the Flagstaff House there was prayers before and after their meeting. What has prayer got to do with the presidency and therefore the state. If this trip is an absurdity, equally the Levis who think that they are wise and dragging it should have left it alone, and keeping it to their chest have not let them look less absurd.
The state sponsor religious festivals and anniversaries every week and year. The state lost many man hours during those celebrations. The Levis should just leave this Israel issue because the more they wipe it the more they look absurd and members of NPP who have jumped on to this mob action are no less twisted and absurd, since their leader was involved in the same scheme with their members.
We have got serious matters to resolve and let us not chase a mirage of pillar of tears.
John Mahama must remember again that Kwame Nkrumah wrote that; money, women and religion should not take the greater part of man, because when they do your personality is crushed. Tell these Levis to devote a Sunday in the year to farm and you will see how they will descend on you. I abhor hypocrisy.

There are five working days in a week for Ghanaian workers, and two set aside as "free."
Who says that Sunday is celebrated because it was institutionalized by Jesus Christ as "God's day"?
What is Sunday to us in Ghana is Friday to others elsewhere, and Saturday to the Jews who celebrate Sabbath.
If anything at all, since Jesus operated in Palestine, why aren't the people celebrating the day called "Sunday" as a Holy Day but have "Friday" (for the Muslims) and "Saturday (Jews following Judaism)?
Again, all those ceremonies you mentioned are used to deceive people that those people are holy, which they are not.
This pilgrimage stupidity will cause much disaffection for Mahama if he continues to be wayward about it.

Just who are the Levis you're talking about? If you mean Levites we don't have any in Ghana.
The state should not sponsor any religious pilgrimages, period, Mecca or Jerusalem. How can we use our scanty national resources to sponsor personal religious trips that are of no national significance? Your naivety is so revealing and horrific. When Akuffo Addo went to Jerusalem he went there in his personal capacity and did not need any state sponsorship. He's smart enough to understand the separation of church and state and as president, state sponsorship of such frivolity will become history.
If you now understand that the state has serious issues to resolve then tell Mahama to lead and we shall follow because when the head moves the rest of the body follows. Instead of getting down to serious business and prioritizing our needs he had nothing to offer so he chose to indulge in trivialities and frivolities. Who caused the mess in the first place? What was he doing all these 4 years? Sleeping? All ghanaians agreed that saturday and sunday should be off days for government employees and became the law of the land. What is unlawful is state sponsorship of religious excursions and pilgrimages by private individuals and groups. Don't people work on these days and has anybody been prosecuted for working on a sunday? Don't bring yourself. You don't even understand the principle behind setting aside two days as workers non-working days. It has nothing to do with religion. Get some education.

I hear we are to establish a diplomatic mission at the Vatican. We are not yet displaying the sophistication required at such level of diplomacy. These new NDC leaders in the Castle simply don't have the intellectual grounding to understand the implications of the issue at stake, and so CAN'T GET IT! It is all part of the intellectual bankruptcy of most "educated" Ghanaians even to the PhD. level.
I anticipated this continuation of this primitive pre-occupation with the supernatural that Mills elevated to ridiculous levels at the Castle and wrote in my Staying In the Frying Pan... article that Mahama must stop it. I wrote as my 4th Wish List:
"Fourthly, for heaven’s sake! Ghana is a secular state, not a Christian nation! Keep it as such and leave that God, God, God nonsense which you yourself is a cheerleader, following on the heels of the TB Joshua mesmerised late President Mills, out of the Castle! Some of us who have mentally evolved cosmologically into the scientific, rational world order, leaving behind us the Weberian, primitive substantive rationalisations of our ancestors, find it most annoying and depressing the way God is invoked by pundits of both the NDC and NPP and their fake pastor hirelings in their dubious pursuit of political power. If there is indeed hell, we all know that all of them will burn at its fieriest corner one day, anyway."
It is clear this did not get to them, and if it did, they didn't understand what it was all about, being part of the problem of fostering and nurturing the prevailing ignorance (lack of knowledge) and superstition, one of the most vicious cogs in the vicious circle of backwardness in LDCs.
What else can we expect from such mentally primitive people?
