Nuclear is a no go area for Ghana especially looking at our maintenance and emergency response attitudes. Even advanced countries like Japan are shuting down their nuclear plants

I agree with you! We have a poor maintenance culture. Ghana cannot manage a nuclear power station. Even Japan with several years of experience is not able to.....what more about Ghana who's not been able to build one!

People always cite safety as the reason why we should not go in for nuclear energy but what they refuse to realise is that Ghana already has a miniature nuclear reactor which has posed no threat to life and property.

From this statement I can say that we have not had any leaders apart from Dr. Nkrumah this is why we are still in darkness with the electric problem. After 56 years we still have lights off.

What of maintenance culture by going NUCLEAR ? Better we practise our home work with sucess before ever tempting NUCLEAR .Our local engineers can;t even shoulder Akosombo, Kpong Power Generators....its pitiful hell .
Ask from disaster victims that are ven faaaaaaaaar advanced than Ghana. The Ukrainians, Russians,Poles,Azeris, Germans,Japanese recently rocked by "TSUNAMI ".....and even if nuclear is developed .. what factories will benefits ? With Ghanaians inclining to CHINA, INDIA,FOREIGN MADE CONSUMER GOODS .....and shelving MADE IN GHANA GOODS ... and jeopardizing and deficiting home made GHANA MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES to the alter of bankrupt.... what service will nuclear offer to Ghanaians in the end?
