Oh Sir Akwesi Appiah has his own problems but the underline problem with Black Stars is Kwesi Nyantakyi and his GFA who does not know their ass from their face. They can go and bring even God if they do not change their ways. Bring Milo Rajevac is stupid learn from history Bukhard Ziese qualified us to Senegal 92 took the job away from him and handed over to that lazy Otto Pfister after he failed we brought him back in 2003 after we have tried 12 coaches in between. Milo Rajevac has nothing to offer stop been stupid GFA. We have never won the Afcon with a foreign coach and we would never will. No country had won the World Cup with foreign coach. Kwesi Nyantakyi had failed and he is too proud to admit it he is sitting on every committee. When Fred Pappoe was the Chairman of the Black Star Management Committee from 2005 till to 2010 we went to 2 WC, 3 Afcon and no one read any stories about juju or whores. Kwesi Nyantakyi you are the problem.

3. OUR DEFENSE WAS ATROCIOUS. WHY SIT EXPErience players like jonathAN MENSAH IN FAVOR OF BOYE? WHY SIT OUT PROVEN CONTINENTAL PLAYER LIKE
AWAL IN FAVOR OF AN EUROPEAN BASED VORSAH? AFTERALL, THIS IS AFCON, ABI?
4. AKAMINIKO MADE 1 MISTAKE AND HE WAS BANISHED FOR LIFE. REAL COACHES DONT MAKE EMOTIONAL DECISIONS LIKE THIS?.
THIS WAS AN EMOTIONAL DECISION BY APPIAH TO NOT USE AKAMINKO EVER IN THIS TOURNAMNT. AKAMINKO EVEN ON 1 LEG IS A FAR BETTER PLAYER THAN
JOHN PAINSTIL AT THE 2. SO WHY WASNT HE EVER USED?
5. ESPERANCE PAY AFFUL LOTS OF MONEY TO PLAY AS A RIGHT BACK, NOT A LEFT BACK. THERRFORE, WAT DID AA SEE IN AFFUL TO USE HIM AS A LEFT BACK
AT AFCON 2013? DID HE WANT TO GET AFFUL INJURED OR TO GET HIM TO DISGRACE HIMSELF ON THE FIELD? WHO TOLD APPIAH TO TAKE KISSI BOATENG WITH HIM?
APPIAH PICKED AKAMINKO, AFFUL N PAINSTIL..3 NATURAL RIGHT BACKS. HOW MANY NATURAL LEFTBACK WERE ON THE TEAM? JUST 1...KISSI BOATENG AND HE WASNT EVEN USED.
HOW CAN U PICK 1 NATURAL LEFT BACK FOR A MAJOR TOURNAMENT? IS THIS A VIDEO GAME?
6. WHY PLAY KWADWO ASAMOAH AS LEFT BACK. WHEN HE COULD HAVE BEEN USED A LEFT WINGER? KASA CAN RUN. HE CAN CROSS. HE CAN RELEASE THE BALL
FROM THE LEFT TO GYAN, AND BADU. LOOK AT HOW HE ASSISTS ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE AT JUVE? APPIAH, U ARE A FOOLISH MAN. U HAVE SHIT FOR BRAINS!
7. HOW DO U CONTINUALLY CALL ON THAT USELESS FAGGOT DEREK BOATENG. WHEN ANNAN WAS ON THE BENCH? DEREK BOATENG IS A PAPER WEIGHT PLAYER.
NO STRENGTH. EVEN SOLOMON ASANTE HAS MORE STRENGTH THAN DEREK BOATENG. DEREK BOATENG SHOULD GO AND PLAY FOR BLACK QUEENS!
8. WHY USE RABIU OVER EXPERIENCED ANNAN? EVEN AKAMINKO COULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER FIT IN DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD. BCOS HE IS STRONG AND MOBILE. AKAMINKO, AWAL AND JONATHAN MENSAH
WOULF HVE SOAKED ANY PRESSURE FROM BANCEY AND NAKOUMA IN OUR SEMI FINAL GAME. BUT LOOK?
9. WHY DID U TAKE BOAKYE YIADOM IF U HAD NO INTENTION OF USING THE BOY. THE BOY IS HUNGRY AND WILLING TO IMPRESS. LOOK AT TRAORE THE BURKINABE STRIKER?
SO WHY ALLOW HIM TO WALLOW ON THE BENCH WHEN EVIDENTLY, YIADOM COULD HAVE USED HIS HEIGHT AGAINST BURKINA AND EVEN MALI?
10. WHY REMOVE WAKASSO WHEN THE WORLD KNOW HE WAS GH'S BEST PENALTY TAKER. AHEAD OF THE PENALTY SHOOTOUT AGAINST BURKINA?I MEAN , HOW? ARE U JEALOUS OF WAKASSO ASUMING THE GOALKING AWARD? DID U ASK HIM FOR MORE PERCENTAGE FROM HIS BINUS. TO WHICH HE SAID NO. SO U APPIAH DECIDED TO SHOW HIM WHO WAS BOSS BY EXCLUDING HIM FROM PENALTY KICKS?
11. GYAN FAILED AND FAILED AND FAILED. HE MISSED CHANCES AFTER CHANCES AFTER CHANCES. EVIDENTLY, GYAN'S OUTPUT WAS BROKEN.
SO WHY CONTINUE TO FOLLOW SMTHING THAT IS NOT WORKING? U SEE. APPIAH IS SO STUPID. HE FAILS TO REALISE WHEN SMTHING IS WORKING OR NOT. WAA LOOK!
APPIAH, U DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT COACHING. GYAN IS THE ONLY STRIKER WHO PLAYS WITHOUT HIS BACK TO THE OPPOSING GOALIE.
WHY DIDNT U RECOGNIZE THIS USELESS TRAIT WITH GYAN?
12. LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST. HOW AND WHY DID U GO ALL OUT AFTER GH HAD GONE UP 2 NIL AGAINST DOCTOR CONGO? U ARE PLAYING AGAINST LEROY,
A PREVIOUS AFCON WINNER. THIS IS OUR FIRST GAME. AFTER GOING UP 2 NIL. U DRAW BACK AND PLAY DEFENSE. TAKE OUT UR BEST PLAYERS EARLY FOR THE
BATTLE AHEAD BCOS YOU DONT WANT THEM TO BE INJURED. WAT DID APPIAH KWASIA DO? HE WENT ALL OUT FOR MORE GOALS.. MORE GOALS IN OUR FIRST GAME? EBEI!
LOL EVEN GAMBLING 101 TEACHES YOU TO FOLD WHEN YOU ARE AHEAD. DRCONGO WOULD HAVE BEATEN US HAD TIME NOT RUN OUT ON US.
13. WHY DIDNT U USE KWARASAY IN THE GAME AGAINST MALI?
14. IT IS EVIDENT U HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER. MAXWELL KONADU IS THE BRAINS BEHIND EVERYTHING, BUT AKWASIA APPIAH ALWAYS DESTROYS EVERYTHING WITH
HIS STUPID MPANINS3M IDEAS BCOS HE HAS BEEN APPOINTED HEAD COACH BY GFA DICK TATOR, KWASIA NYANTAKYI.
THE MOST CLUELESS, WAYWARD COACHING OR DISPLAY OF GH SOCCER I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE FROM PLAYERS IN A GBSTAR JERSEY.
15. AS LONG AS THE SOULS OF AKWASIA APPIAH AND NYANTAKYI ARE LURKING AROUND THE OFFICES OF THE GFA. GH SOCCER IS HEADED STR8 FOR A NOSEDIVE.
IT WILL BE BETTER FOR ZAMBIA TO GO TO BRAZIL OVER GH. AFTERALL, EVEN IF WE QUALIFY FOR BRAZIL. GH WILL BE COMMOTED IN THE 1ST ROUND. IF THE TEAM

That is why there is a need to take a closer look at the most crucial role on the team -- that of the coach. If you think one of our success stories is not good enough for a local person, why don't we get a foreigner to be our President, because the failure rate is very high compared to the black stars.
Infact why don't we get a foreign person to run your family since you sound like a stupid person who does not think before you talk!!!!!!!
Can you name any foreign coach who has done better in the AFCON than Kwasi Appiah, at least he was a penalty kick away from the final!!!!!!

At end of the day our GFA is run by us and we decided to EMPLOY a coach who will be a quality worker. nationalism does not come in this unless you want to treat blackstars like an arm of government. your argument against bossom smacks of hatred arising from inferiority complex, racism, sentiments, avoiding reality compounded with other issues which are brainless to say the least. Ama if you want to see the national team performing international feats then quality from coaching to player selection must be our ONLY yardstick and that involves abolishing inward looking. look at advanced countries. lets use USA as an example, even though they are at loggerheads with china go to NASA and see how many chineese, indian and other nationalities they hire and ask yourself why? bosssom is brainy you are brainless.

This hulaballoo going on is caused by GFA.
Our only task now is to get a pair of dependable strikers in our team. I don't mean "strikers". I mean strikers with firing accuracy! The other day I read on BBC sports that Bale of Tottenham fired 86 times in a particular period and his accuracy (goals) was 17.4% while Walcott of Arsenal fired 46 times during the same period with an accuracy of 23.9%.
So we need dependable strikers like Opoku Afriyie of the past.

The women seem to exude more confidence than the men on a topic that may be considered the preserve of the men's club.. They believe in the potential of the blackman and think nurturing one of our own would be more rewarding. Some ghanaians especially the men have a voracious appetite for everything foreign. If only foreigners have the wherewithal to resuscitate our football then I guess they can do better with the Presidency too. We talk about football as if it's the most important aspect of our national lives. The Presidency encompasses everything we do as a nation but the voices agitating for the head of the Black Stars coach are far more vociferous than those actually agitating for the head of the ghanaian president. Is this a case of misplaced priorities? We must begin to love what we produce locally. If our national economy is import based then we should forget our dream of ever becoming a super power in anything, be it football.

The problem is with the coach. It is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, PERHAPS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE for a team to win a tournament with a BAD, POOR COACH who cannot read a game BEFORE, AS IT PROGRESSES, AND ANALYSE IT AFTERWARDS. There is NO INDICATION that Akwasi Appiah has or can do that. We should put Konadu,or Abedi or Silas at the helm; they would know what formations it takes to win a particular encounter, and that would determine the talent and players to invite to camp to achieve those objectives.

My dear Doctor, obviously we have a problem. I am a Ghanaian, and the issue is that this is a complex problem. I believe Mourihno or Fergusson can make a difference. The finals game starts with the player selection, all the way. If a coach selects the wrong players, there are certain formations he cannot play. E.g. if you select mostly midfielders, how can you then decide to change to attacking formation and play 4-2-4? You simply cannot. Akwasi's problem started with player selection, all the way to game and post-match analysis. How did Konadu do it in the case of Fabulous Kumasi Asante Kotoko? There is a secret to success; not all goes to chance, juju, badluck.

He said it's like someone (Ghana BS)being on life support and instead of having expert doctors look after him you ask a junior doctor who just completed his rotation (Akwasi Appiah) to do so and further compound the issue by asking final year medical students (Maxwell Konadu, Sabahn Quaye, BB Bismarck) to assist him. Do you think this patient will survive 2 more days on earth? As to how and why Sabahn Quaye is a team manager of the BS is beyond me. OVERALL, KWASI'S PERFORMANCE IN AFCON EQUALS ANY OF OUR EXPATRIATE COACHES WE HAVE HAD IN RECENT TIMES. WHAT HAVE THESE EXPATS DONE DIFFERENTLY? eXCEPT TO ABANDONE THE TEAM FOR THEIR COUNTRIES. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION TO SACK KWASI IF IT IS BASED ON OUR RECENT AFCON PERFORMANCE. HIS DEMEANOR USED AS THE REASON IS THE MOST UNWISE THINKING OF MANAGEMENT. I THINK GFA MEMBERS NEED UPGRADING OF THEIR MANAGEMENT KNOWLEDGMENT. HE RATHER HAS GIVEN AS A FUTURE FOR OUR TEAM. I AM IN DEED SAD FOR GHANA. THE GFA IS NOT MAKING A WISE DECISION AND IT LOOKS TO ME THERE IS AN INTEREST. I AM NOW CONVINCED WHERE THE PROBLEM OF OUR BLACK STARS IS COMING FROM. KWASI'S TEAM GIVES US HOPE FOR THE FUTURE. HE TAKES BOTH A LONG TERM AND SHORT TERM APPROACHES. NEW INTRODUCTIONS AS WELL AS OLD GUARDS. I WOULD LIKE TO INDICATE THAT WE WILL FAIL TO QUALIFY TO THE WORLD CUP IF KWASI IS REPLACED. HIS MISTAKES HAVE ADDED ON TO HIS EXPERIENCE AND UNDERSTANING OF THE PLAYERS. MY QUESTION IS, CAN GFA AGREE TO RESIGN IF THE EXPAT FAILS TO QUALIFY US TO THE WORLD CUP? THIS DECISION IS A SHAME UNLESS IT IS NOT TRUE. I AM REALLY SAD FOR GHANA. GOD HELP US.

I hope that they keep the coach on. I felt very sad reading this article. I just don't get it! The guy has been in post barely a year and got us to the same position as our last AFCON. Why do we keep changing coaches like that?? This is why we never win anything- no continuity at all! It's stop, change, stop chnage! Can you not see that most of the African teams are going tith their own? Ivory coast had a local coach at AFCON 2012 and they came second. Of course, they sacked the coach and got another one of those coaches who keep rotating in Africa and didn't even make it to the semi finals! Hope that is a lesson to us!

It was the same against DRC. Then he changed it a bit against Mali in the AFCON group stages. I was happy. What does he do against Cape Verde? The Cape Verde match should have awaken him, that against B Faso, the middle of the field needed to be strengthened, bcos the burkinabes were very quick on the counter. Everybody saw what he did, and crucially experienced the outcome. Fire him!

Sudan have lost top spot in its 2014 World Cup qualifying group after sport’s highest court stripped a victory against Zambia for fielding an ineligible player.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport says it rejected the Sudanese Football Association’s appeal against a FIFA ruling to award Zambia a 3-0 win by default.
CAS says Sudanese officials “couldn’t not be aware of the fact that” Saif Ali was suspended and ineligible to face Zambia last June.
Ali scored in Sudan’s 2-0 win in Khartoum, four months after being sent off when the same teams played an African Cup of Nations quarterfinal.
The court’s ruling puts Zambia top with six points from two matches, three ahead of Ghana. Sudan falls to third with one point. Lesotho also has one point.
Ghana, now second on the log with three points, will need to win its two-legged ties with Sudan and an away match to Lesotho. Ghana could be fancied to beat Lesotho away and Sudan at home.
However, beating Sudan at its home is a herculean task.
The decider appears to be the Zambia –Ghana clash to be hosted by Ghana.
Chipolopolo has the luxury of drawing this game or even losing it, provided Ghana stumbles away to Sudan or Lesotho and that’s assuming Zambia maintains a 100% record.

Instead of spending the money to employ a foreign coach, we should spend that money towards improving the skills and knowhow of promising Ghanaian coaches. One month's salary of a foreign coach can pay for one full year's coaching program in Germany. Extrapolate that over one year, and we can produce 12 fairly well trained coaches from some of the best coaching schools in the world. This is simple logic.
The best coach Ghana has ever had, C K Gyamfi, was not only a former player of the Black Stars, but also Nkrumah sent him to Germany to study coaching and team management. Any wonder that his achievements are unparalleled to date?
As a nation we should learn to get the best out of every Cedi we spend. We should not just throw money away on foreign coaches. When the same money if invested properly can give us five times more the benefit we may derive from a foreign coach.
I am not endorsing keeping Kwasi Appiah in his post at his current level, but I do think we should invest in him and other local coaches to make them deliver better results. Sending him off to England for only 3 weeks amounts to setting him up for failure again. How much benefit is he and Ghana going to get from this move. Please GFA be a little bit more business minded and result oriented.

It is a sad indictment on Ghanaians that they cannot see the forest for the trees.
It doesn’t matter whether or not Kwesi Appiah is qualified or not, it doesn’t matter if the Ayem brothers quit “the black stars or not”! There are other players in Ghana who are able and willing to wear the shirt with pride. What does matter is unity and that is one thing I don’t read in all the comments posted, the sense of togetherness.
Sudan has just their appeal against their point’s deduction. After Zambia’s performance in February in South Africa, I don’t see them reaching the Brazil 2014, even if Ghana does not reach a third World Cup in succession as Ghanaians we must all be proud. Ghana is building a team for the future, not a team of past. Instead of people snipping at the coach, I suggest everyone gets behind the team for the four remaining matches and hope our boys can do the businesses.

If the GFA has decided that Kwasi Appiah is not fit for the job, why continue to waste more money on him sending him to Man City?
His board, lodging and transport alone could go towards paying for a new coach for the Black Stars.
There is no excuse for keeping him. Appiah is not a qualified coach, he had no coaching experience prior to his appointment as assistant coach of the Black Stars which begs the question as to why he was appointed in the first place. He is not tactically astute, and does not know what he is doing.
The only good thing he has done is to appoint a good backroom staff, and the success of the Black Stars are due to them, not to him.
If we want to qualify for the World Cup, Appiah must be sacked now, and an excellent coach appointed forthwith. This would allow the new coach time to prepare the Stars for the Sudan game.
There is no margin for error as Zambia now have a 3-point advantage over us. It is no use allowing Kwesi Appiah to continue to handle the Black Stars only to sack him if he fails against Sudan. The damage would be irreparable.

Ghana wants a winning team. Black Stars should be a team that plays well. Even if the team should qualify for the World Cup in Brazil, Kwesi Appiah should not lead the team to Brazil because Ghana risk to go out in the first round. A coach must be able to motivate his players to win and he shd be able to change the match but do we see that in Kwesi Appiah? He seems not to be the right person for the job. Earlier a decision is taken about him, the better. Many people in Ghana want Kwesi to succeed but he does not seem to be working hard. Kwesi Appiah, don't be sad when you have been discharged after the Ghana-Sudan game.... He should be given Under 17 team to learn and move upward from there. All the best, a word to a wise is enough
Regardless of if he stays or goes, the GFA still remains the problem. So the GFA and Nyantakyi must go.
