You sit in Manchester, are not involved in what is going on in the country and yet can declare that there are no competent people to run the country. You talk of a "leadership crisis". Where from that? Is it because some people are contesting the results of the elections? Does that make the country 'leaderless'? What lens are you using for your analysis? And who would you rather wish to lead and run Ghana.? Or shall we call the colonialists back to run our country, economy and people? Where do you stand?

Pls Mr. Amuna I would like to pop in here to enlighten u about leadership problems in Ghana. Can u point out any sector in the country where there is no problem? Let's start with basic Economic needs, FOOD I mean all in terms of the common man in Ghana; SHELTER look around and see how poeple live. the rent in terms of the wages. CLOTHING how easy are the poeple clothed, last but not the least is EDUCATION both FORMAL and INFORMAL. Just to mve a little further is Security first PUBLIC then PRIVATE. How secured is the Ghannaian on the outside let's say on the road and how secured when they at home. HEALTH is the next, which starts with the environment which we live. The Accra Mayor is angry when critisized for his performances. He has not till date don,t know where the refuse of Accra is to be dumped, He has not got a landfill to transport the refuse of Accra to any part outside Accra since the capital has no landfill where is the refuse of Accra to be dumped? AT OBLOGO, GBAWE ? these are no places for that purpose it's a former stone quary. Can I the stop here for u to come back if theses basic problems cannot be easily solved, how can some other serious ones be solved. I know your answer is always going to be " this is not our problem " but actualy it is. Tell me when such problems are going to be solved in Ghana and by who ? It is time to tackle such ones than to be greeting Chiefs and building statues. Such a leader is what is needed as the President said Public Sector salary is eating Ghana, why cos those incompetent poeple are in offices and are being paid who do no work for this nation of ours. Thanks

So you think it is government's responsibility to provide food for people? And this is a leadership issue? And there are no competent people running different sectors in the country? I do not doubt that there are problems, or that some people are not fit to occupy office. But the same can be said of people in Britain and elsewhere. I am sure there are some success stories in Ghana. Don't you think? My basic point is: don't generalise but by all means point out specific problems and suggest solutions.
