Those who make policies to alleviate poverty are not poor themselves and do not understand it, therefore their policies make the poor poorer so is the man who has not known struggle, loss and suffering.

True, your article gives hope to all who are ready to go through life's discomfort phases with the masses. Mandela was a lawyer but preferred to struggle with people. Nana Addo, go on. Surely you'll succeed. A good lesson for all. The NDC will surely write all manner of things against good reasoning. A must read for all who cherish truth. Nana Addo must be commended. A good piece of advice.

Chronicle's Kofi Koomson sleeping soundly without a threat from Akuffo Addo
The Chronicle’s Nana Kofi Koomson stunned many in the country when he took an uncompromising stand in 2008 and without mincing words announced that he would never feel comfortable in the event Mr. Akuffo Addo became Ghana’s president.
Mr. Koomson’s singularly act in rejecting, denouncing and renouncing the defeated 2008 NPP presidential candidate like the big bang about to befall Ghanaians underscores the popular aphorism that the frog which emerges from the waters to announce the drowning of a crocodile must be taken with all seriousness. After all, the two men had been in the UP/NPP trenches and had known each other from inside-out for a considerable period of time when they plotted against the PNDC/NDC, culminating in their senseless Kume Preko Demonstrations in the 1990s.
Albeit their long time friendship and Mr. Koomson’s declaration that he had been in association with Mr. Addo for a number of years, he mustered and marshaled the courage to dissuade Ghanaians from voting for his once bosom friend. In a profound consternation among Ghanaians when Mr. Koomson was washing his friend’s dirty linen in public, one could sense and feel the awe, the anguish, the nightmare and the utmost concern vibrating in Mr. Koomson’s voice during a radio interview in which he stated categorically that the defeated candidate, Mr. Akuffo Addo is really an unqualified character who should never be allowed near the presidency. He reinforced his stance by declaring that he could never sleep a wink in the unlikely event of Mr. Addo Dankwa-Akuffo Addo becoming president of Nkrumah’s Ghana.
In the nutshell, Mr. Koomson was telling Ghanaians and the whole world that indeed Mr. Akuffo Addo had the potential of plunging the country into unimaginable consequences due to his vindictiveness, temperamental, arrogance, womanizing, lack of coordination and organization and penchant for anything that appears in skirt.
And like a bad omen about to befall a generation, the wikileaks’ revelations about Akuffo Addo have re-echoed and confirmed Kofi Koomson’s assertion without a shred of doubt.
While complimenting Mr. Koomson for the stance he took against the NPP candidate in order to help preserve the sanctity, unity and peace in Ghana, we must hasten to add that the former suffered a barrage of embarrassment and humiliation at the hands of Akuffo Addo and his NPP hit squad.
By attempting to avoid a theory called the Groupthink Mentality (a hallmark of NPP) postulated by psychologist Irving Irving L. Janis in 1971 whereby Mr. Koomson played the devil’s advocate on behalf of Ghanaians, Mr. Akuffo Addo and his thugs descended heavily on him and employed all communists’ tactics imaginable against him in his quest to enter into Ghana’s august house.
As a payback for voicing his concern over Akuffo Addo’s unfitness to lead the country, thus calling on the electorates to jettison him, a huge impediment was placed in Mr. Koomson’s way by his own party-NPP. And going by a symptom of the Groupthink theory which dilates on Unanimity (members of a groupthink share an illusion of unanimity within the group concerning almost all judgments expressed by members who speak in favor of the majority view), the NPP declared en masse that Kofi Koomson be debarred from contesting one of the parliamentary slots in the Western Region. He was, at a point in time, threatened with a court action by Ghana’s apostles of democracy for adopting the party’s insignias in his campaign. God knows what became of Mr. Koomson’s parliamentary ambitions.
Even though we cannot pinpoint with certainty as to what happened to Mr. Koomson’s parliamentary ambitions, we know for sure that Akuffo Addo was humiliated at the polls in 2008, thus nipping his unbridled ambitions in the bud for four years. We also know for sure that the victory of the NDC in the 2008 polls ensured Kofi Koomson’s sound sleep and the protection of his newspaper empire for four years. And oh, Thank God Almighty Ghana was salvaged from the hands of a warmonger, a womanizer and a drug addict whose mornings are heralded by thick clouds comparable to smoke emitting from a seventy year old locomotive engine.
Nana Kofi Koomson and discerning Ghanaians are reassured once again that even though the NPP is deep seated in the Groupthink theory of Rationalization, whereby members ignore warnings or develop rationalizations to discount the warnings and negative feedback as pertains to Mr. Akuffo Addo’s infamous “wee” Akanfuor and all-die-be-die speech, the NDC will thrash the NPP in the 2012 elections to give them another four year sound sleep as well as protecting their businesses, except the cocaine ones, of course. Indeed, Nana Koomson is assured beyond any reasonable doubt that Ghana will never die and that Akuffo Addo will be retired from politics and consigned to run a corner store at Kyebi, come 2013.

Even in The Bible,
'Cain killed Abel'.

"..He who he is without sin, should cast a stone at her..."
How can you see the 'speck' in my eyes whilst you have a 'lumber' in yours
And if you point one of your fingers at another person, you have to acknowledge that four of the remaining fingers are pointing at you.
Normally, I have tried to make it as part of my life and character, not to hate anyone from what I have heard from another person, until I experience it myself.
What at all has Nana Akuffo Addo done?
He is a wominizer. Okay, I am not shocked because people also say that President Mahamah is not different.
He is a marijuana smoker. Not surprised in the least, because one of the former Head of States in Ghana was also an addict.
He is arrogant and proud. Yes, most people who are described as arrogant, stems from the fact that they know what they are, believe in, and stand for. They are principled and their stance cannot be changed. Their feet do not 'wobble'.
Politics is a dirty game, but, it is unfortunate that it is only through this dirt, that one can lead a country.
Nana Akuffo Addo, Okatakyie, look up to God. Don't and never quit or be discouraged, for you are fighting for what you beleve in. Your principles.
Yes.
"All die be die".
'All victory be victory.'
'Truth can be surpressed but never be hidden for ever'
Nana , I have this song for you:
"Courage brother, do not stumble,
Though thy path be as dark as night,
Whether losing whether winning,
Trust in God and do the right."
People will not understand you today,
but have the confidence that they will understand you another day.
The lamp that you are lighting today will go a long way to illuminate the paths of all Ghanaians, Africa and even the whole world! Even your enemies included.
Courage brother, do not stumble!

HISTORY HAS PROVED THAT IN THIS REAL WORLD, A FLOCK OF SHEEP HEADED BY A LION WILL DEFINITELY DEFEAT A PRIDE OF LIONS HEADED BY A SHEEP OR A LAMB. IN OTHER WORDS, A LION-LEADER WILL DEFINITELY MAKE MORE PROGRESS FOR HIS PEOPLE THAN A SHEEP-LEADER OR LAMB-LEADER. THE LION IS ARROGANT BUT BOLD. THE SHEEP OR LAMB IS CALM AND TIMID. CHECK, FOR INSTANCE, THE BACKGROUND OF AMERICAN PRESIDENTS FROM PAST TO PRESENT, AND THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS. WHOEVER GHANAIANS GENUINELY CHOOSE WILL DETERMINE THEIR FATE. SOME LEADERS IN THE WEST WHO WISH TO CONTINUE DOMINATING GHANA, AND AFRICA GENERALLY, WILL DEFINITELY CAMPAIGN FOR, AND PREFER THEM TO CHOOSE THE SHEEP- OR LAMP-LEADER SO THAT THEY CAN HAVE THEIR WAY. WATCH THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE IN AFRICA AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND.

We all know that perseverance is key to success but not when the reality obviously points to the fact that you are wasting scarce resources that could be channeled into something more adorable and productive. Nana's ideas were not built on the masses' needs and the masses have proven it in their votes in Dec 2012

You described who the man indeed is and for that we thank you Bro/Sis Nana Akwah. Unfortunately this forum is inhabited mostly by illiterates who thanks to the Internet would stop at nothing in bringing Nana down even if they know nothing about him but only through the grapevine. It is a shame, very sad. Nonetheless we are encouraged even elated by the resolve Nana possesses - he is doing this for posterity - and for that Nana Addo is the greatest winner in modern Ghana political history. Viva Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo. God bless him always and may HE bless our beloved but currently the most corrupt nation this side of HIS universe.

1.8: WHO IS NANA ADDO? Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a great Ghanaian. He is a Champion of democracy. He is a man who has run for the presidency of Ghana. He is a man who is teaching Ghanaians and Africa and the world how to use the mechanism of a democratic nation to fight for and to create a true democracy by overturning a fraudulently conducted election so that the people of the nation will see the truth in their voting. He is a man who should be awarded the Nobel Peace Award for what he is teaching the world about the truth and power of democracy.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo possesses grace, a grace filled with adiabatic-gravity. Adiabatic-action consists of a cool-action; action without friction. To possess a cool-grace often it is a result of responding to the leadership of Spiritual-Allies; Nana Addo had as wise, trusted, charismatic-mentors his father and Nkrumah who were his models and examples to emulate; both men were powerful-forces that accompanied and led the development of Nana Addo’s personality and drive. Nana Addo possess an inner ability to solve problems; it may have come from the mathematical mind of his father, but Nana Addo possesses a unique ability to create solutions. His ability to create solutions gives height and mass to Nana Addo’s 'Tall-Confidence'. Nana Addo stands on the Word of the Lord to achieve his Tall-Confidence.
With Nana Addo’s return to Ghana and the Ghana political scene Akufo-Addo began to reveal himself as a uniquely developed leader; Akufo Addo believed in what he was doing and that he could accomplish anything he endeavored. He began to strive with a systematic focus and he began to think in a detailed way about the intricacies of becoming both successful and becoming a good Servant-Leader. He began by taking up leadership in the fights for democracy. He would join and organize; he would endeavor to organize with a basic consensus. Akufo-Addo has become a servant-leader for the people of Ghana. As a servant-leader Nana Addo maintains a spiritual-connection with the people; Nana Addo’s spiritual-connection has grown into the covenant that exists between the People and God. The people’s-theurgy, the people’s-magic, provides an uplifting and a divine element in the Gestalt of Nana Addo's mental-posture. Nana Addo has become a successful leader because he became proficient at prayer and meditation. He has developed a faith that has a political face, he is an exquisite democratic and economic leader who always works for the People by leading in the best way to create enterprise and jobs. By concentrating on prayer and meditation he has been able to focus on the presence-of-the-present, the here and now. I met Nana Addo at Legon, at a point when he was formulating his inner posture. With Nana Addo’s entry into the University of Ghana; Nana Addo focused on some of the choices that might go into the development of his career. His father had followed the paths of the law and politics and Nana Addo was thinking those areas would set the course he would follow also. Nana Addo realized that learning leadership would be important. Nana Addo began by thinking about and creating steps-and-stages. He felt the steps and stages he was considering would promote succeeding. He thought about his father’s comment about building a Tall-Confidence; he studied the Word and has stood upon it to achieve his Tall-Confidence. Even then at Legon, Nana Addo generated others who followed his leadership. In Nana Addo’s personal life he generated Tall-Confidence with prayer and by meditating and thinking deeply. The more his prayers gained in focus, the deeper Nana Addo was able to immerse in the suspended-moment; it is in these moments that he often comes to solutions of problems he has been contemplating. Often, Nana Addo envisions his thoughts about the National-Dreams of the People, while maintaining his focus on setting a course that would facilitate obtaining the objects and goals necessary to fulfill the Peoples’-Dreams. While envisioning probable goal implementations he has moved imminently close to his purpose, the presidency. Now he is ready to to teach Ghana and Africa and the world how to employ democracy and the law to achieve justice. In Akufo-Addo’s endeavors for the People he maintains a positive-attitude and a persistent-persuasion in obtaining his objectives and ultimate-goals. In my association with Nana Addo at Legon Campus I caught glimpses of a deeper structure in his presence, there was something profound in his approach to his being; I got the feeling early in my friendship with him that Nana Addo understood where his life’s journey would lead him. Every good person wants to improve themselves, but no one can accomplish great things by themselves. Of course Nana Addo knew this, he knew he would have to work assiduously with other people and of course when he practiced international law in Paris he was succeeding financially working with the people in his law firm, but Nana Addo wanted to accomplish truly great things for the people of Ghana. He knew he had the potential of great accomplishment within him and he realized he would have to multiply himself to catch the dreams floating above Ghana and see them accomplished. Akufo-Addo knows multiple-effort and so he has taught himself the art of joining with the people he meets, his constituency, to increase their ability to accomplish. Akufo-Addo has mastered the method of accomplishing great things; a key is to open the doors of Mastermind-Alliances. He returned from Paris to Ghana in 1975, he ran for Parliament and became an MP—1997--2005. He was actively involved in the formation of the NPP in 1992, with the formation of the Danquah–Busia Memorial Club. When political parties became allowed under the ruling military dictatorship the NPP became one of the first political parties allowed to function. Akufo-Addo understands that in a democracy great accomplishment needs multiple-effort and he has been attempting to lead all of Ghana to the necessity of truly working together and you know what I mean. Everyone wants to improve themselves, but many people; even most people do not understand how to accomplish well, their own self-improvement. All people need to utilize joint-effort. In the political field the value of joint-effort is more easily seen, but many people do not even vote and that means they do not count; they do not appear on a voting statistic. To make yourself count you must vote and more, you need to join a party that wants to and knows how to improve the economy sufficiently to admit you, to improve the economy so that you have a job. Akufo-Addo is a trained economist, he knows how to improve the economy so that most people will become part of the economy; more people will have jobs; Akufo-Addo knows how to make jobs happen; join Akufo-Addo, join those who want to see accomplishment on a grand scale, co-operate with Akufo-Addo, join those who are working diligently to improve Ghana. Akufo-Addo is a great, prepared leader; he is a genius. Akufo-Addo is your leader, join your leader, join Akufo-Addo; all Ghanaians need to team-up to perfect their use of mutual-effort, we must multiply our ability to achieve and to achieve through a leader who has come home to serve the people, to make dreams a reality. We need a good leader who is not a leader, like most of our political leaders, who have come to find and receive financial reward. I know Nana Addo. At Legon I have walked with him and I came to realize that Nana Addo has the ability to meditate deeply while doing as unassuming an activity as walking to the library or the Logia.
In New York City, in Harlem, there is a street called Strivers’ Row, I think of that now as I remember Nana Addo. Nana Addo is a striver who bears the torch of self-confident-initiative. Nana Addo maintained a-directed-effort-to-generate-success with those he worked with and for. Akufo-Addo planned and controlled his efforts to become successful; he used positive thought, initiative and will. Nana Addo would always strive no matter what he was doing, weather it was playing football or practicing international law in Paris. He was always striving, always working hard, always trying to do his best and always making his best better. Akufo-Addo is striving to serve the people of Ghana he’s trying to lead the people to economic success. Akufo-Addo is determined to produce a viable First World economy in Ghana. Akufo-Addo has been preparing himself to lead this drive all his life and he knows how to better and build an economy that will make a First World economy happen. Akufo-Addo’s goal is to provide opportunity for the people of Ghana. With the opportunity that Akufo-Addo is determined to provide, and he will provide, his leadership will produce jobs and the opportunity for enterprise and entrepreneurship. He will strive for that goal until it becomes part of the identity of Ghanaians. We must learn to always strive, to work using initiative guided by enterprise. We all must learn the true meaning of initiative, which is an ability to originate and follow a plan of action. We must direct our desires and our will to goal-accomplishment. We must concentrate and make our endeavors guided and augmented, to the point that our endeavors become better sustained and lastingly motivated. We should emulate Akufo-Addo, he is the master, the teacher and he knows the multiple lessons of initiative well. Akufo-Addo’s knowledge of the value of initiative is not something Nana Addo was born with, it is an acquired knowledge and he acquired the knowledge of initiative because he knows the value of initiative; he knows initiative produces success. Leadership is what initiative produces and success is what proficient-initiative produces. As Ghana’s future president Akufo-Addo will work with the leadership of the NPP, (soon to be Parliament’s predominant party), and he and the NPP will provide governmental-initiative; he will propose legislation that will improve the economy and attract enterprise and help develop large scale businesses that are started and run by Ghanaians.
I realized that Nana Addo was someone who had often thought about what the meaning of his life should become. Nana Addo possesses a powerful world within him. It has always seemed to me that his will has come from a force generated through effort. Nana Addo placed force behind his effort-to-accomplish. He derives from the charismatic mentors he has emulated and from something bestowed upon Akufo-Addo by his desire to advocate for the People. There is an African saying: “When there is no enemy within, an external enemy cannot harm you.” Nana Addo has no enemy within; he has Tall-Confidence and is a champion.
Nana Addo’s Tall-Confidence comes from something Nana Addo believes. He believes he can accomplish what he has set out to do; to bring the economy of Ghana to the status of a First World economy. This accomplishment would be the beginning of his principal achievement-goal, which is to become President, establish the NPP as Parliament leader and improve the economy of Ghana until it becomes a First World economy. Nana Addo has uncovered the secret nature of analyzing and understanding how to produce success. Here, at the stage before finally becoming stands a statistical goal: the analytical measurements of a First World economy. Akufo-Addo has the unique ability to analyze the requirements for the production of a First World economy in Ghana and Akufo-Addo possesses the understanding and ability to produce the goal. Akufo-Addo is not afraid to work to solve any problem, whether it is economic, or political. This is because Akufo-Addo knows he can summon groupings that can devise the solution to any problem.
When he returned to Ghana Nana Addo began thinking more and more as a Servant-Leader, it was then he began to lead on a broad scale. The path that Nana Addo began following is a well thought out path; he has focused on reaching destinations, as well as following his chosen course of leadership. Nana Addo has been able to do this because he believes in himself; he believes in his Purpose; he believes in the People of Ghana and this perception causes him to believe he can accomplish the things he sets as goals. Akufo-Addo wants to lead a 60%-plus constituency, while growing Ghana’s GNP. He is about to have the Supreme Court acknowledge the achievement of that goal and to have that achievement counted accurately.

This sounds like the tale told by the idiot full of sound and fury but signifying nothing. The dreams of Akuffo becoming a president of Ghana is now a thing of the past and its high time dreamers like you begin to realize that. Those who know Akuffo know him unfortunately as arrogant and pompous. The picture you are painting of him is nothing like we know him.The long rambling of your write up suggests some one who is cracking up and refusing to see reason. The earlier you pick yourself up the better it will be for you.A word to the wise is enough.

NDC THIEVES. RIGGING ELECTIONS IS A BIG FRAUD. IF TAKE SOMETHING WHICH DOES NOT BELONGS TO YOU. U WILL LOSE IT IN A SHAMEFUL MANNER. SOMETHING BAD WILL HAPPEN TO NDC LEADERS.
ADAMA, HONESTLY, I THINK YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THESE ARTICLES.
U MUST BE USING A LETTER WRITER.
I WILL WRITE YOURS IN VERNACULAR FOR YOU.
FOOLISH ARTICLE FROM NDC FOOLS
According to God,there's just that something about Akuffo Addo that pisses him off
Hmmm and so you know what God likes and doesn't like about Nana Addo.
Good work done
Adama, read the article again. The writer is not from the NDC. Read it critically, then you'll understand what writer said. It is encouraging Nana Addo.
this article is a rather cheap way of promoting Nana Ado's struggle to become President of a people who have no reason to choose him as president of Ghana. We all know that perseverance is key to success but not when the real ...
