Haba! Even the mighty Okoampa has stopped sending in articles on a daily basis - a welcome relief for many forumers. Anyway, I think Bokor too should be limited to two articles per week. This will force him to write only on important topics or issues and not on madmen Christian prophets.

Surprisingly, this human being of nPP origin is talking about laws. First, go and tell your MPs to take part in all parliamentary business or better still boycott their salaries and other allowances as have been approved by their so-called illegal president. Were we not here when what you referred to as 'Let my vote count' group organized a rally at Dome without police notification? Remember that nPP now says that the supreme court should annul over 4.6 million votes. Which votes should then count? Lawless people! Who permitted nPP when it organized its rallies at Obra Spot in December last year? Nonsense!

It is nice that ghanaweb gives EVERYBODY the chance to express his or her views on its pages. But there are so many people who want to express their views. Yet some people are writing everyday which means others don't get the chance to appear on the front page of the first 10 articles which are seen first and accessed most.
If ghanaweb puts a small limit on everybody (two articles a week is very generous), it will publish ten relatively good articles everyday instead of 15 to 18 articles some of which are not given maximum exposure.
If everybody is limited to two articles a week, people will think carefully and send in only their best articles and not behave like serial callers to radio stations just because they want to hear their voices on radio when they don't always have something important to say.

It's not a matter of how much effort one puts into an article. It's a matter of a few people "over-crowding" the place. Ghanaweb should rightly belong to ALL Ghanaians and if a few people are making it as their "personal diary or weblog", then something must be done about it.
The webmaster does not post the articles according to how early he receives them so there's no issue of early birds catching any worms. No matter when writers send in the articles, everybody must have a fair and equal chance of appearing in the first ten articles that receive the greatest exposure. People sending in articles everyday prevent others from this attractive first page.
I still think two articles per week is generous to give voice to everybody. Anybody who wants to write articles everyday can make his own blog and post those articles there and send only the best to ghanaweb.

Yes, there are lots of Ghanaian sites. They carry roughly the same news items and you'll meet the same feature writers there too. Many of these other sites are more careful about what they post there. Joyonline is also very popular and more professional than ghanaweb. They don't accept any articles at all and those they post, they edit them slightly. They don't accept insults either.
But ghanaweb is unique in many ways. It's the oldest (almost 20 years) and its the most visited site of them all. It's clearly the most popular among Ghanaians. That's why everybody comes here. It also accepts any articles including very bad ones. Anybody can say anything on ghanaweb and this has advantages and disadvantages.
But you must try other sites too.

Frankly speaking, there is no need for any of these pressure groups: 'Let My Vote Count Alliance' and 'The Young Democrat'.
'Let My Vote Count Alliance' represents 'United Opposition Parties Convention' and among many of its objectives, is to sensitize Ghanaians about the importance of the petition filed by three petitioners at the supreme Court and its ultimate benefits of instilling discipline into any future chairperson of the Electoral Commission and eschewing thievery, fraud and corruption in any current and future political parties during elections.
'The Young Democrat' on the other hand, is agitating for leaving the current political Institutions and the status quo' intact, with the reason that any attempt to shake or challange the 'status quo' will lead to chaos and anarchy.
Both groups are made up of good Ghanaian citizens because each of them has the welfare and wellbeing of Ghana at heart.
But the question is:
Are these groups needed at this time?
The answer is a big NO!
and the reason for this is the ultimate probable effect their activities may have on conscience and perceptions of the Supreme Court Judges who are sitting on this petition.
My admonition and exhortation is that:
All Ghanaians should keep cool and allow us to see the wisdom in our supreme Court Judges in their final decision. These Judges know for sure that:
'THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING THEM'
And the whole world is going to decide whether or not respect should and recoqnition should be given to any product from any of the Universities of Ghana, and especially, THE GHANA BAR ASSOCIATION.
The issue at the Supreme Court is not a small one and its ramifications is going to have a big impart on the image of this country, Ghana, and all her citizens.
Please lets give these judges at the Supreme Court a free hand to decide on this issue, only with the fear of God,and without fear or favor, but for
'The Truth,The whole Truth, and only The Truth.

I wonder if the leaders in that party know that if you throw a stone to the wall it bounces back to you. When people you perceive as enemies and intruders come to your house and you have a dog you don't need to do the barking yourself. The young democrats will do the barking even when there's nothing to bark at. They're just like robots remotely controlled by the NDC hierachy.
What an absurdity! Young democrats trying to derail a democratic process? The truth is that there are many people in Ghana who do not understand what democracy is all about, especially many of the NDC blind followership. What could be more democratic than challenging election results in the highest court of the land? What is more democratic and law abiding than Nana Akuffo Addo declaring that win or lose, whichever way the Supreme Court votes, he will respect the ruling of the Supreme Court Judges? This is unprecedented in post independence election problems in Africa. What is undemocratic is these young hooligans and ragamuffins parading as young democrats and swearing on fm radio to use unconstitutional means to stop a lawful and constitutional procedure. They make a laughing stock of themselves and their NDC sponsors. The NDC hierachy know this case is theirs to lose that's why they're employing appears to be criminal and unlawful methods to stop the process. They're exposing their complicity and guiltiness to the entire world that is observing the proceedings with very keen eyes. If they're guiltless and smart they'll simply allow the Supreme Court to do its job.
This is an appeal to ghanaweb to limit this man to two articles per week. He can decide when and which topics to write on himself as long as it's no more that two per week. This will be good for him and for all readers.
