At the same time, I think Papa Appiah is doing what most Ghanaians do best, that speculations and baseless criticisms.
We are in the middle of the tournament, I think it would be wise to reserve harsh and nonconstructive criticisms until after the tournament. Just like any Ghanaian, I am not happy for a draw in a game we led by two goals. At the same time, I do not think all is lost yet. We should not think that Ghana will have it easy all the way.
I also think that Papa Appiah is wrong to tie Coach Appiah's decision to drop Jordan Ayew to any past issues the Coach may have with Ayew brother's father Abedi Pele. Further, I seriously think that you are wrong to criticize Coach Appiah to drop Dede Ayew either. It is ridiculous to draw a premature conclusion that you have no proven merit. Such harsh, unjust and baseless criticisms only sew the seed of unrest within the team.
I will agree with you to voice your disappointment and urge the Coach to see through your positive alternatives rather than spewing speculative criticisms.
I can also speculate that Coach Appiah dropped Junior Ayew because in his last games with the Black Stars he fended poorly; and his brother Dede Ayew acted unwillingly to join the team by hesitations and excuses. Allow me to add that I love both the Ayew brothers. But I am not sure why Coach Appiah chose to drop Jordan Ayew, so I reserve to give the Coach the benefit of the doubt.
Papa Appiah can you prove any of your alleged assumptions? You are only creating distaste in Black Stars camp in a tournament that is still on going. Hold your guns please, spare Coach Appiah's head until after the games; if he fails to deliver the Championship Cup, I will pull the trigger.

I couldn't understand it myself that the duo have been left out of our squad. Adebayor stayed in Tottenham and played against QPR before he moved to join his team; Aruna Kone also played for Wigan before he left to join his mates -- far later than the lateness of Ayew.
But what I have to say is that, the tournament has already started so we can't go back to correct things. All we need now is to try and win (with the players we have currently), then think about how to solve the problem later -- before the World Cup qualifies that resumes in March.

For those of you who are old enough to remember, there was an occation when a particular Black Star player that had been banned for life from playing soccer in Ghana was pardoned and a team sent to Nigeria to go and get hom back to join the national team because the nation needed him. There are countless other occations that exceptions have been made for players simply because we needed them. I hope this coach will be ready to take full responsibility for the outcome of his decision. I wish him the best and will continue to cheer the team on though.

The Coach had no choice but to leave Andre out of the line up because he did not turn up at camp despite the 2 extra days extended him by the Coach. Maybe he was acting in solidarity with his brother or retaliating for the public apology he had to make to the Coach after AFCON 2012, or maybe he wanted to stay behind and like Essien and KPB focus on Club duty due to his speedy recovery only he knows. The Coach must not be blamed for Dede not being on the squad.
I will always call up Waris before Jordan Ayew any day of the week and twice on Sunday, I don't care how many goals Dede sets up for him at Marseilles. There is only one Ayew qualified to play for the Black Stars and it is not Jordan.

Got to be realistic, i dont think we will reach the semi-fianl in this tournament or qualify for the world cup if the politics dont stop. thanks.

Dede Ayew doesn't respect and no coach will allow that and his behaviour can influence some of the players so if he is not invited so be it he should be disciplined to deter other players who might have behaved that way. He is not the only player who can turn things round there are other players who play better then him and his brother they should give us a brake. Ghanaians should stop criticizing the team but rather give them the backing and am very optimistic that they will perform better.

Dede has proven beyond any doubt, his committment and loyality to the cause of the national team. You can see the pride and willingness to die on the field if need be, as well as the display of passion and fearlessness on the field as long as his beloved Black Stars win. This is the kind of player you want in a team, this young man has been a loyal soldier who shows patriotism on the field of battle and as a Ghanaian I have goose bumps watching him play and the amount of effort he makes and you can tell he's very, very proud to be wearing the jersey and the nation he's representing. He has earned the right to be trusted at the lest this once to be given a day or two to report to camp. Discipline and team cohesion are critical to the success of any team sport, so are good judgement, flexibility and practicality. In this case Kwasi threw away the baby with the bath water, Dede and his brother are in top form at the right time the nation need their services.

Indeed, he has vendetta against Abedi Pele because of the Caf position which the NDC got involved. Abedi was chosen initially to contest for the position.. We the fans are paying the price for their selfish ambitions hence the drop of the Ayews. Nyantakyi needs to vacate the seat of the presidency at GFA before Ghana Football will rise to the top. W e have the talent but his selfish pride is what is causing the loss and we couldnt build a strong team. The likes of Pappoe's and the Abbey's who worked with Nyantakyi to lift blackstars up to the world cup stage for two consecutive terms were dropped because they cant be rubber stamps to Nyantakyi.
