"Fellow Kukrudites, this is the mystery we need to unravel without further delay as a party. Strangely, the NPP has allowed all kinds of lies and propaganda to swallow the party like the shark. We have not been able to dispel the wrong notion that the NPP is an Akan Party, in spite of the several reforms and changes we made in the party hierarchy to reflect the national character. Today, the NDC has changed that Akan tag to Asante/Akyem party and gradually the NPP has lost all the Akan regions - Western, Central, and even Brong-Ahafo. Based on the fraudulent 2012 Presidential results, at least 3 Akan regions could have easily given our Presidential Candidate, a first round victory, but this could not materialise."

Good morning Katakyie. Initially, I felt this was refreshing only to be hit by the usual boom shell of insults and disrespect for those who are on the opposite side of the political divide.
I read an article by Dr Bokor on Joy FM online (part 1 of rebuilding NPP)on Sunday. He said something that you have proved him right.
Katakyie, why did you refer to the jubilant NDC members and supporters as drunkards, dirty, truck pushers, etc? Why couldn't you describe them as poor, ordinary people, working class, labourers, etc but instead you chose to abuse them? That is why NPP is unable to attract votes from that group of voters and as long as some of the party's leadership, members and supporters continue to see a large section of electorate as you described them, then obtaining their votes will continue to be a challenge. Just imagine some of them happen to read your article and one day you go to campaign for their votes. Do you expect them to vote for NPP?
Again, you wrote, "in a country where "idiots" outnumber the normal human beings,..." You are insulting most Ghanaians (though you tell me because you put certain words in inverted commas they mean something different or they are not your words). I think this sort of regarding those who are outside the NPP family (leadership, members, supporters and voters) as dirty, drunkards, idiots, etc is part of the problem and not the solution.
From the number of achievements you enumerated in your article, what you should have asked is, was NPP better able to sell its achievements? That is the crust of the matter and that perhaps, NDC may be better at selling its achievements to the electorate than the NPP. Call it propaganda but it appears that is what they have done better.
Though I am an NDC sympathiser, I would be worried if one party dominates political power in Ghana and would want the NPP to be stronger to win elections but calling people names and abusing them is not the way forward in an article that seeks to propose alternative strategies for the future. I do not want democratic dictatorship through the election of the same party every four years in Ghana. The maximum terms one party should be elected for office continuously should never go beyond three terms. Thank God the practice in Ghana has been two terms maximum.
I hope you do not take my comment as an attack on you but I am being honest and frank with myself. You may say, you are calling a spade, a spade with your description of the people you saw jubilating but in politics things work differently. One must be decorum, candid and diplomatic with words and language. That is a lesson those of us who contribute to issues of national development, especially through the electronic media should learn from.

You see, this perception about non NPP Ghanaians that's why the NPP has lost four out of the six elections since 1992.The politics of elitism that the NPP has practice since the time of Nkrumah is what has cause their downfall. They have a falls perception about themselves that they are the only political party with most learned people, they are the biggest political party in the country, they are the best political party and so on.Infact everything good belongs to them. One thing they have forgotten is that the in the NDC, the academia respects the down trodden, respect them & and let them feel some sort of belongingness. Politicians in Ghana has labelled Ayawaso west wuogon constituency which comprises areas such as the Airport residential area, the University of Ghana,East Legon, Shiashi Bawaleshie & others as the elite constituency. The NDC won the presidential election in this constituency. The NPP's claim of having most learned people is either a fall perception about themselves or a figment of their own imagination or both. How many professors do they have that the NDC or CPP hasn't have, how many PHD holders can they bost of that the the NDC or CPP hasn't have. They should spare Ghanians of that fall perception about themselves and concentrate on how to identify themselves with the down trodden. Again, if they think politics is synonymous to education, why did they choose Akuffo-Addo instead of Prof. Frimpong Boateng as their frag bearer or Prof. Mike Ocquaye in the 2008 election? The NPP never learn from history. They lost the 1951,54 & 56 election against Nkrumah by practicing this same polititics of elitism. They should their perception about themselve and the silence and discerning Ghanaian voters like some of us will change our perception about them.

Incidentally, the people you described in your passage are your creation, you even transported many poor people from all over Ghana to Accra with just a meager capital, only to have them roam and rampage the civilized capital city, currently in shambles. Perhaps it should be well induced that all these massive and not so obvious development projects were a simple ploy for you greedy bastards to enrich yourselves. Perception is everything. The NPP is perceived to be tribalistic and arrogant. How can a senior Party member like Kennedy Agyapong remain in the party and is actually hailed after his comments that Ashantis should harm Gas and Ewes. In any country he would have been been slung out of the party. The NPP is not nationally based, it is perceived to be an Ashanti/Akyem party and and the actions of the leadership proves it is. As to lies and mis information by the NDC about the NPP is it not the same the other way round, that is politics. There are few truths from either party, and, unfortunately, it will forever be so. As to the results of the election which are claimed to be fraudulent, where were the NPP agents? Both parties try to cheat in elections and the ruling party always have an advantage and it is for that reason the NPP should have been very vigilant. How was the fraud perpetrated by Mahama and the EC? How will that be proven in court?

Your representation of fellow Ghanians as drunks, wearing dirty clothings and of some ethnic group bespeaks of the very problem of you and your party. Your party must stop thinking of yourselves as the model for everybody to emulate; democracy is about numbers but the tradition of your party is sectionalistic, elitist and denigrative of those who do not share your views and ideoplogy. Could you imagine your party neglecting to appoint a single cabinet member from a whole region; the Upper- region from which Dumbo-Jatoe Kaleo hailed? Kuffuor who should have known better! From your submission, you glout over how Ghanaians should be grateful to the NPP for all the things they did for the country and for northerners. Note that wow you treat people and represent them count a lot and the NPP must learn from it. Were you not the very person who insulted northerners as beneficiary of free education funded by southern resources? you forgot to mention those who labor the fields and mines the underground mines from which they died of TB etc. You admit that the NPP lost the election because of some failures, yet you expect the supreme court to reverse the election so Nana Addo will be president. What kind of logic is that? The current posture of your party is more damaging than the problems it has faced so far. It is no secret that because Mahama is not of the entitled southern political elite, your party cannot fathom seeing him rule Ghana. This message is by now laud and clear to the outlying constituencies of Ghana . What a pathetic diagnosis of the bane of the NPP,your party.

'When I drove through a jubilant NDC crowd in Asawasi and Ayigya in Kumasi after the declaration of the 2012 Presidential election results, I cried for my beloved country. I shed tears not because I had lost a beloved one but the crowd was made up of many drunkards, head potters, people of particular ethnic group, truck pushers, people who were in very dirty clothes all in NDC paraphernalia. The atmosphere could be likened to a group of people who have won National Lotteries. From close observation, you could realise that only a few of them have had education beyond the basic level. But the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as smart as it is, has been faster enough to reach out to these people at our expense.'
Katakyie, don't you see that it is this way of seeing other Ghanaians that is the problem of NPP? You are forgetting that all Ghanaians don't live in urban areas. The vote of a drunkard or 'kayaye' has the same value as that of a Dr (PhD) or MBA holder. Think about it.
When the NPP PhD's wife goes to market and buys cassava and plantain cultivated by the drunkard farmer, it is carried to her SUV by the kayaye you look down so much upon.

Be honest and face the facts of current realities. NPPlooks down one very other person who is not an Ashanti or Akyem. Dr Kennedy one of the brilliant non Ashanti/Akyem leaders has being banished because of honesty. Dr Bilson was equally treated in the same way. If you are honest study the election results and you will be surprise that all the minority groups have voted against thee.ephant and I can assure that 2016 will be more serious for the elephant.

you still show your ignorance here.
why can we the NPP get the fact that Ghanaians dont like our policies and the fact that they still think that NPP is discriminated party. your article even show that. we need to change this mentalities because NPP is not wiser or smater than NDC/CPP/
the painful truth is the fact that Ghanaians dont see anything Good or any good leadership in our learder. NANA AKUFO ADDO. thats why next time we need to bring foward a good leader who Ghanaians feel comfortable with.

Please, I advice you to stop posting things on this forum, as you lower yourself and the Negative Nonsense Psychopaths (npp) you belong to.
Who are your educated leader are not far from the drunken uneducated, with comments such as all die be die, we will make the nation ungovernable, how would your uneducated followers know right from wrong if their hero's and law professors comport themselves in such CRASS manner.

Sorry Ghanians in Enfield but I find there are many who are amongst you who went from village to Accra onto the plane and straight to Enfield working as cleaners, yet portray themselves here as educate.
Last question??? even with free education here in the U.K we all know its not absolutely free, as parents must pay for meals, clothing and other stuff. The Ashantis and Akyems have hijacked NPP and they are not ready to let it go any time soon.If you look at the History of Npp going back to Gold Coast, you will see that the Ashantis did not play any role in the UGCC.We had lot of Gold Coast political leaders from all over, the Fantis,Denkyiras,Nzemas who provided resistence and leadership before J.B.Danquah and Busia. The Gas also did very well in fighting for our Independence just like the Akyems as well. The parties who formed the United Party were not only Akans but from all over the country,Busia became their leader with the strong backing of J.B.Danquah.These 2 personalities were highly educated and Royals who had no mutual respect for the poor and the ordinary people. They did not show respect even to Kwame Nkrumah who was also highly educated perhaps because he was not a royal. There was a time when Nkrumah broke away,Danquah did not find it difficult to call him a Veranda Boy.Nkrumah cleverly took advantage of the poor masses and launched an agressive campaign against Danquah and Busia.Campaign for equal rights and justice. In our present day, when NPP was given the nod to rule,Kuffour had wanted to make the Ashantehene the King of Ghana and Kumasi the real Capital where Diplomates and many VIPs were tasked to pass by the Ashantehene before doing any business. On the political terrain, the Asantes and Akyems always make sure they carry the flagbearer position. Many members of the party want this situation to be changed but I don't see any new candidate coming any time soon. This is the real difference between NDC and NPP.The electorate are not fools, they can reason perfectly well,so please check yourself.Thank you.

I want him to remember that it is the same number of majority which voted to elect ex-president Kuffour and again voted to re-elect him. If today, for some reasons and factors, some of which you are advising the future leadership, you tend "insult" the majority of Ghanaians, then it is unfortunate. Remember again, that if Ghanaians had exercised their franchise, but it was the electoral commission that disappointed them, then let's all keep our fingers crossed and wait for the arguments and ruling from the Supreme Court. Insults will not help in any way. Thank you.

OMG, what's really happening to mother Ghana? Ghanaians h'd always lived as one people with a common destiny but why all these absurd disunity and tribalism.
Honestly speaking, Rawlings wherever you are you should bury your head in shame for you had brought this mischievous problems unto the lives of Ghanaians; all for your political gains and most importantly for your power drunkness.
Jerry, your name shall forever be remember ed but not for any good thing that you did for our beloved country but rather disuniting the dear citizens of ghana. I believe it never cropped up in your mind that your utterances against a particular ethnic group to win power will one day come to hunt you and just as Shakespeare wrote " the evil that men do lives after them" Sooner rather than later your children who have an Ashanti mother will begin to face the full rigor of the seed that you have sown. They will one day be despised and marginalised for who their mother is ie an Ashanti.
Rawlings, started all these tribal sentiments in our political dispensation and hence l will urge all Ghanaians to ask him to take the lead role to advocate against that and don't let us think that it is right because it's the Ashantis; well it could be the ewes or the northerners or the fantis tomorrow!
Ghana belongs to all of us and not for any ethnic group. United we stand divided we fall.

They say a fool will always be a fool when he or she thinks he or she is the best among the lot. I want to tell you that as long as your kind can not see that you are not wanted at this time and manytimes to come because many of the people you think are dirty and have no education as you put it have eyes to see as the dumb can not speak but can see as the blind can not see but can hear, it will never be the same for your kind in this country anymore for those who can't see can hear and those who can't hear can see.
It is this kind kind of proudness you are showing as an advice to your party is your down fall. Untill you in the NPP, start to know that we are all human no matter ones education as a person one will always know the good from the evil.
From today you must learn to talk and say seneble things that will make people feel they can and wiil be respected.
To me it's very foolish of you to say you saw people who were dancing and because they were drunk could not think or know what is good for them. It is only a fool like you and your kind who always think you know the best, but at many a times in our country you and your kind are found wanting when you have to prove yourself as happened in the eight years the NPP was in power.
Please don't think we shall all think like you and your kind for there are many i say many in this country who can see through the window, and this election as prove it that the people of Ghana at large saw what was going on in the country when the NDC, came to power.
How can a party which has done nothing can win eight out of the ten regions, think man think, and stop your dreaming that the court will grant your wish. This proves that people in your party are dreamers and wishfull thinkers who think they know all but in reality don't know much.
God bless mother Ghana, for giving us a son in the person of JM.

The SC has not adjudicate the case, so for you to be refering to your bogus petition as fraudulent on the part of NDC shows what an idiot you are. The majority of people you tag as illeterate idiots are wiser than you fool.
