RE: Soliciting Support For A New Lease Of Life For
Cricket
Dear GCA Delegate.
This is a petition to you to vote a new slate of executives who we believe will do Ghana
proud and give the sport of cricket in our nation a new lease on life.
I am a backbench cricket enthusiast. I learned to play cricket at Achimota School and
have followed the sport over the years. While I do not claim to be a sportsman or ardent
cricketer, I have a deep interest in making it a key sport in Ghana. To this end I have
sought, on a few occasions, to introduce it to my hometown community, especially the
young.
Cricket as a team sport has a lot to offer the youth and the socioeconomy of Ghana. The
opportunities to build character, offer self development and growth and provide
commercial and social development for communities are all reasons why we must take
advantage of the moment. A new team that will create these opportunities for all is what
we need.
Today, my appeal to you is to help make such dreams come true for the benefit of the
millions of Ghanaian young and youth who have otherwise either never heard of Cricket
or not been given the opportunity to try it. Cricket also gives the old a new experience
and an addition to our sociocultural wellbeing.
You can make these many dreams for cricket growth come true by voting in a new team
of executives who will be very committed to the development of the sport in Ghana and
more importantly, offer the youth a chance.
We pray you would vote for the following personalities into office to help make this
happen.
There are many of us who want to help grow and develop the sport with personalities
like you the delegates who supervise our communities. But we can only do that with
change at the helm of our national affairs. We can only have accelerated access under a
new management of the Association. A new team we can trust.
In the name of God and our dear Ghana we ask that you to vote for
1. Prince Eugene King as President
2. Samuel Ekow Biney Asamoah as Vice President
3. Dharmendra Thadani as Treasurer
4. Naasei Appiah as Board Member
5. Felicia Doe as Board Member

Board Member.
These are fresh faces for the top management of the sport in Ghana who have proven
their capacity to make cricket great again for Ghana.
We pray that you will deem this a humble request from the citizens of Ghana to you. You
have the responsibility to etch your names into our history as those who brought real
change and progress into the lives of the teaming youth who otherwise have nowhere to look.
