Foolish question by a dumb guy.
Under ghana's constitution , in dec after every 4 years an election is held. A president is elected after that on majority vote- the same constitution then stipulates a cabinet-the cabinet sits and decides (madates) on issues to benifit the nation on behalf of the people- the elected president then either accepts or throws it away. Ghana joining Brics as a partner is no big deal (a partner is not a member). It is not written in stone and one nation can opt out anytime they want to. Only a fool can do the same thing 70 years that is not working and keep doing it- Brics will give us alternatives-Why on earth is this a problem? Becuase we will not get aid from others? Is Aid (from other people's taxes)our only lifeline- Has aid developed us in 70 years? Shouldnt we think of Trade (proper fair trade)as our path to growth. Why are we Africans so backward thinking? Foolish man. Get away

Ayariga must just shut up . It is not every issue that parliament must debate on before its implementation. Ghana is old enough as a nation to know what works for us . If Nkrumah had gone to parliament to seek permission to implement his policies, the nation wouldn’t have been what it is today .

Did the country decide, or did the president and his cabinet decide? Note, this wasn't part of the president's manifesto.

MR AYARIGA, ARE YOU SAYING THAT IF THERE IS A WAR RIGHT NOW FROM WHICH GHANA MUST DEFEND ITSELF, WE MUST WAIT FOR PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE BEFORE A DECISION IS REACHED. DOES A GOVERNMENT NOT REPRESENT THE PEOPLE? IN EMERGENCIES GOVERNMENT CAN MAKE A DECISION ON BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE, AND I SEE THE PRESIDENT, AND HIS CABINET DOING JUST THAT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BEST PRACTICES. GO SCRUTINIZE THE CONSTITUTION WELL, I URGE YOU!!!
