Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah established 26 factories in Ghana when the population was around 5 million. Ghanaians need factories to transform raw materials into finished products. It's disappointing to see proposals for projects like a sky train instead of focusing on job creation through manufacturing. Every year, graduates and school leavers from various disciplines enter the job market, but there are not enough jobs available. As a result, Ghana has become the leading importer of second-hand clothing, earning the unfortunate title of the "world's largest importer of 'obroni wawu' (dead white man) clothing."
We need more factories—factories that can create jobs and stimulate the economy. The establishment of these factories will lead to a knock-on effect, benefiting wholesalers, distributors, and retailers. In short, we need more factories, factories, and more factories!

As for factories, Yes! we need some- but factories are made for selling-Who will buy what we make? At what competitive cost? Look at the Komenda sugar factory for e.g. You see, the way the world has been structured by the Powers that be (Don't want to name the countries) it will be difficult for Ghana (Africa) to compete - so factories when we have can't be sustainable. Like the Great Nkrumah said - we have to unite as Africans- only until then can we have a proper wholistic DEEP THINKING approach on how we take Africa TO THE NEXT LEVEL- The worst thing we have now is this phony so called "democracy" that has rather make us divisive amongst ourselves- yielding very little or nothing to date- apart from corruption gov go gov come. Not saying Dictatorship is the way forward though but we need a proper accountable democracy- we ned to remove the winner takes all system.

Go to all communist countries, they all did at some point have factories all over and they all suffered economic failure too.
There is no where that such examples have succeeded

There is nothing wrong with defending that position, but it should be clearly identified as an opinion or advocacy piece rather than being presented as “the facts.” Facts should incorporate multiple perspectives and relevant evidence, not just a detailed account from one side
