Is this claim of humongous a fact or fiction. I am only asking because that clever boy of CEO Sammy Gyamfi claims GOLDBOD, his office has not made any loss and has proof of the Ghana Auditor General's report as evidence and yet backed by the Majority in Parliament, he refuses to go to that august house to state his case. So now who are we to believe; the IMF report or the Ghana Auditor General's report. I am aware of CREATIVE ACOUNTING and AUDITING, so as for me, I know where I stand, when I consider that clever boy's refusal to state his case in Parliament.

Clearly, these are not the field of social commentators but for ACCOUNTANTS. And I think IMF is mischievous here. The loss if you want to call it, which should best be described as an economic policy cost, is a valuation effect on accounting -the difference between transaction currency and reporting currency. In dollar terms, there was NO LOSS on the Gold trading. However, because BOG uses Ghana cedis for financial reporting and the cedis fluctuate against the UD dollar, exchange difference will always be there, And in this case, since the cedis is appreciation against the dollar, that trading loss will exits even as buying and selling takes place. This is what I expected IMF to describe as an economic policy Loss for Ghana to stabilize the Ghana cedis. IMF should know better and should avoid calling policy cost as accounting loss. They should check if there was any loss on US dollar values of the gold trading. ZERO>

I keep wondering why certain parties are always glad to try their cases in the court of public opinion. Sammy Gyamfi has asked Afenyo to summon him to parliament BUT NPP are only interested in probing the issue only in the media. I pray that when this case has been proven right, the authour of this article will be vindicated otherwise he has a case to apologise to Samm Gyamfi.

K BADU,
IF task you son to do business and bring in profit… but you did NOT give him any capital.
Your son talks to few friends and raise a start up capital and goes into business.
In about 18 months your son makes a whooping $17 Billion (Seventeen Billion Dollars Profit).
You then ask your son how much has he spent so far in the business and he says about $2 Billion (Two Billion Dollars). I HAVE PUSHED YOURS FROM $1.7 to $2 billion).
Do you castigate your son for the Two Billion Dollars spent and call that a lost?
Or you will Congratulate him for bringing in a profit of Seventeen billion dollars out of nothing ????
YOU SEE, WHAT YOU AND NPP ARE BENT ON DOING IS EXACTLY THE MINDSET OF THE BLACKMAN.
YOU SAY YOU ARE CALLING FOR ACCOUNTABILITY BUT ACTUALLY IT IS THE SAME “PULL HIM DOWN SYNDROME” OF THE NPP.
ITS THE SAME THING THRY LIED AND DID TO KWAME NKRUMAH…
BUT THIS TIME, GHANAIANS ARE Wide AWAKE AND IT WONT WASH.
K. BADU, YOU CAN WRITE LIKE SHAKESPEARE-NANSO 3MFA DA .
IT WONT WORK.

NDC is now in government, but whatever crosses them is from NPP. Imagine this huge loss happened under NPP, and picture the posture of feral like Sammy Gyamfi, Sam George, Asiedu Nketia and rest. Yes, that is Ghana.
Last week, the NIA came out with new charges for those who are going in for their Ghana card, and it was the same NDC that urged her supporters not to go for the Ghana card, but the foolish Ghanaian will put the blame squarely at the doorsteps of NPP because NDC is made of some Celestial beings who do no wrong. Yes, that is Ghana.

I had wanted to engage you but after painstakingly reading your article, i realised you actually don't understand the whole situation or even if you do, you have decided to throw dust into the public's eye just like the minority in parliament have sought to do. The tone of your article actually compels me to believe you are an NPP member clad in the cloth of a neutral just to deceive the general public but unfortunately there are so many intellectuals on here.
