Take it easy. Modern enlightened parents spend good money to support their kids when they realize their talents in creative, technical and vocational spheres. I am told a school uses STEAM instead of the usual STEM. The A is for Art. I still get disappointed though when those who are supposed to know better exhibit their ignorance by showing disdain for the Arts.

That's the way things get neglected in Ghana. It has extended into the culture of maintenance or lack of it. You will be surprised that Ghana has a Symphony Orchestra which you hardly hear of. So while we produce over 800 lawyers a year, we should also focus on education that will enhance our history and other art forms.

Passion is good, but targetted research to solve our numerous poverty-related problems will be excellent. Why do we go to the West for vaccines. We can't even reduce population of mosquitoes, but spend millions of dollars on antimalarial drugs. Proritize and be proactive. When is Ghans going to the moon for heritage research?
