The discipline to obey simple rules and regulations can be better enforced by the military than by the MMDAs.
I sincerely agree with this article that our sanitation issues should be handled by the well trained and professional military men and women, who can effectively control our (civilian) indiscipline, without any conflict or brutality.

This kind of superficial analysis is one of the major problems in policy debates in Ghana. Our own politicians are not obeying some of the laws they themselves make. Should we send the military after them? A citizen's attitude to obeying the law is influenced by many factors, with the major one being effectiveness of implementation which in turn affects the probability of being caught etc. So, please do a bit more research!

Mister Adu Gyamfi, I think you missed the point of your argument about sanitation issues in Ghana. Now, when was the last time you saw filth of if this magnitude in in Ghana during flooding? Yes, it happens, but not this magnitude, and that means something went wrong somewhere.
Commonsense tells us that anywhere people congregate, garbage will be made and structure should be put in place to take care of the garbage. When the current government came into office, it cancelled the contract of Zoomlion, the company that is responsible of garbage collection in Ghana, and gave that responsibility to the District Assemblies and were they able to handle it?
Trust me, that is where or how the problem started, and you should have pointed that in your write up or maybe, your political lens did not capture that. The president "Failed in that aspect, and he should be told without holding nothing back", because Mahama did not stage a coup to become a "Head of State" meaning he is not above reproach.
Also, stiffer punishment should come to those who litter no matter the status of the "Human" because our areas have to be neat. I remember the good old day when "The Town Council" commonly known as "Tankase" visit houses/homes unannounced, it made people aware that one should always keep his/her surrounding clean, and were the military part of that?
