This nonsense of kingdom this ,kingdom that must stop.Dagbon is one of the traditional areas in the northern region and it is not a kingdom.Where from this nonsense of every village chief wanting to be who he is not? Yendi is a small village with nothing in there and the people there live in abject poverty with no amenities. What governance structure do they have? Where was that struture when they were killing themselves? Who knows them beyond yendi? The man is a paramount chief of Dagbon and nothing more. Lets stop this nonsense of every village chief trying to assume underserving titles.

@SAM, nothing about bigotry here. What has all these fanciful and nonsensical Kingdoms in Ghana with their utterly useless chiefs done over the centuries to uplift the livelihoods of the ordinary people? None, none, none!

In the past, these revolting and repulsive chiefs were either slave raiding and trading or killing thousands of innocent souls to please their utterly useless river gods such as Antoa, Tano ,Asuoyeboa etc,
Hearing the name Kingdom in modern Republic of Ghana simply gives ne a fit of apoplexy. Only fawning underlings will write flowery stuff about any our of hopeless and useless chiefs. From Paga to Cape Three Points, Sunyani to Wale wale.
The only one that, I will personally give a modicum of respect to as an Asante person is: Togbe Afedi for his role in building Asogli Power to solve our energy problems.
That is a chie of integrity and substance.
The rest are all hopeless. And , if that riles you then, so be it. Thank you!

I was looking forward to read the author’s take on the alternating swings from Abudu to Andani gates for Yaa Naa when a king passes on. His omission on that subject leaves his article underhanded and incomplete. Come again ... read full comment
