Solid read, Jerome. I believe access is not enough for the retail investor, they need solid judgement to make informed decisions. I have seen too many people jump into things off WhatsApp hype without even asking who regulates the platform. Regulation definitely helps, but until financial literacy catches up with financial access, we will keep watching people lose their savings to schemes that just sounded credible. We need to teach the judgement before the money moves.

As financial technologies continue to democratize access to capital markets, investor education must evolve from a peripheral initiative to a core pillar of financial sector development. A financially literate population is not only better protected from exploitation but also better positioned to contribute meaningfully to national economic growth and capital market stability. Ghana's future financial resilience will depend as much on informed participation as it does on expanded access.
