Yea you are right!
Did June 4 wipe out bribery and corruption from Ghana?
The coup maker was even alleged to have took a bribe of over 5 million dollars from the despotic Nigerian leader, Abacha.
Stop kidding mate!

Yes, former Ghanaian President Jerry John Rawlings admitted to accepting a multi-million dollar cash gift from the former military ruler of Nigeria, General Sani Abacha. While critics and opponents characterized the transaction as a bribe, Rawlings publicly maintained until his passing that the money was an unsolicited "contribution" meant for nationalistic purposes rather than personal enrichment. The details surrounding this controversy involve several key points:The Confession and the AmountThe Discrepancy: In 1998, reports surfaced alleging that Abacha’s National Security Adviser, Ismaila Gwarzo, delivered $5 million in cash to Rawlings. The Ghanaian government vehemently denied the allegations at the time. The Admission: In a July 2016 interview with The Guardian newspaper in Nigeria, Rawlings broke his 18-year denial. He confessed to accepting the money but insisted the suitcase contained $2 million, not $5 million. The Delivery: Rawlings stated that an emissary from Abacha drove up to the Osu Castle in Accra and handed over a suitcase full of US dollars.Rawlings' Defense vs. Public BacklashRawlings' Justification: Rawlings claimed the money was completely unsolicited. He asserted that Ghana was preparing for constitutional rule and needed funds for various state activities, leading him to accept the money for "nationalistic purposes".The "Bribe" Accusations: Critics in both Ghana and Nigeria strongly condemned the admission. Journalists and opposition politicians argued that the money was effectively a bribe intended to purchase Rawlings' diplomatic support. During the mid-1990s, Abacha’s military regime faced severe international isolation due to human rights abuses, and Rawlings was one of the few African leaders who routinely defended Nigeria on global platforms.Calls for Refund and Investigation: Following the confession, anti-corruption groups and political figures demanded a parliamentary probe into the transaction. Some Nigerian commentators also pressured the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to seek a refund of the money, as it was pulled from stolen Nigerian state assets. However, no formal legal actions or asset recoveries were ever finalized against Rawlings regarding this money before his death in 2020.

To those insulting Kwaku Badu for his post, how many of us were living independently before JJ usurped power? Does JJ understand what governance is or he thought the gun can correct all the ills in our society, if yes, how come sins came back into the world despite the fact that God wiped humans with the flood?
History had it that JJ had no idea about governance and he was the problem facing us today. How did he arrest someone who legally took a loan from a bank citing corruption, and statutes in Ghana support that?
After accusing others of having two toilets etc which to him, was crime of unimaginable proportion, he gave Nsawam Canary, a state factory to his wife which was okay to his stupid and ignorant supporters.
JJ was the genesis of the "Millions, millions" we hear on daily basis because after accusing the Acheampong regime of printing 50 cedis note which was the largest denomination in Ghana, he withdrew all those notes and in turn, printed 500 and 5,000 notes which destroyed our monetary system in Ghana till Kufuor came to the rescue.
Look at our educational system then and what JJ left for us to deal it, better or worse?

Kalabule was evil. The system was rotten. I will never, ever shed a tear for those who were executed. And, if happens today, I will still go out and scream , "Let the Blood Flow". And, I do not give a damn what K Badu, Pelicles or others think!
There were millions of ordinary Ghanaians who went out chanting "Let the blood flow" Desperate diseases requires desperate remedies. Oliver Cromwell, saw a rotten system in England in 1649, and a lot of people from King Charles 1 lost their heads. The bleeding hearts in Ghana can cry till thy kingdom come.

The writer’s opinion do not support the fact that by 1979, Acheampong and Akufo had put Ghana is a very difficult situation to prosper. The kangaroo military trial of JJ and few others was a sham. The trial itself failed to meet the threshold of good practice. There were no witness statements. The accused were not properly represented in court. The whole court scenario was a joke. Even the sentencing of JJ and his few unserious sankwas was a joke. June 4 is never the beginning of Ghana’s woes. It is rather the topple of Limann on December 31, 1981 that was unjust and unnecessary. Even so, the PNDC was able to revitalise Ghana. People rushed to pay their taxes. Rawlings rule Ghana from no money. It was much later that the IMF stepped in to restore some confidence in the economy. By 1990, Ghana has found her feet. The international community began to respect Ghana again. They knew that they can do business with Ghana. The ‘yentua’ policy was ditched and business started booming in the last days of the PNDC. June 4 was never the beginning of Ghana’s woes.

The confirmed liar Badu, thinks Rawlings should be blamed for the severe natural disasters such as tne wild bush fires and drought that occurred in the 80s.
Yes, huge rivers such as Tano ,Bia, Ankobra etc all dried up .You have to be a complete fool to blame JJ Rawlings for that. And, the same fools blame Rawlings when he clamped down on those who were ripping us off through hoarding and Kalabuke. Again, I will never shed a tear for the useless leaders under whose nose Kalabule thrived. K Badu, keep wailing!
