Primary ownership of a resource of any nature including mines cannot assure the highest and best benefits unless such resource is guaranteed of efficient management backed by standard regulatory regime. Ghana does not necessarily have to own mines as a state nor even indigenous individuals unless there is proof of capable alternative investors and sustainable management of same.
I support a renewal with added clauses that will bring comprehensive benefits to all.
