Margaret Thatcher was right when she said that "you can't beat the market". The Rent Control law will not be easy to implement because Ghana has not got a big social housing stock. Private landlords will rent their houses to people that are willing to pay rent for more than 6 months. As a matter of fact, it is the tenants that are offering to pay more than 6 months rent so that they can have their peace of mind. Kutu Acheampong Rent control will not work. What happens when the tenant fails to pay rent and also destroys features in the house?
