I hope many more people will read this article, and understand its import. It is not the end result - today's Ghana - that moves me about it. It is the story of the stance of one man, and his total belief in himself and his values that mark the article as worthy of reading. King Kaku Ackah I is almost never remembered in the lores of Ghana. But here was a man, outmaneuvered and surrounded by colonials, who stood firm. He may not have won the war, but his principled stance will forever be valued by all those who think such things matter more than acquiescence. Thank you for bringing his story up.
