Mr Desewu, I am sure you, like many other ghanaians, don't know what you're talking about. Government can only create an environment where firms, due to demand for their product, or the type of equipment, decide on extended operations. I wish people like you do your home (proper research) before putting pen to paper. Poorly thought out policies, and bad implementation are a major problem in ghana. All the talk about a misunderstood 24 hour economy will not change that.

This propaganda piece does nothing good for the 24-hour economy policy nor the IDIF. IDIF was a good private sector driven industrialization and job creation initiative. The country should rather continue to promote it as the industrialization leg of the 24-hour economy policy. We should not allow the many factories built to suffer pre-mature deaths just because they were initiated by a previous government.
Let's resolve the policy failures of IDIF if and where any. How can we tell ourselves to be promoting jobs when we look on, for instance, for the many recently established vehicle assembly plants to die. Aren't we aware that some are producing at 10% capacity? Pity Ghana!!
Lies and propaganda
