This is a well crafted column by Evans Mintah and we applaud him for being frank about the reasons behind the shameful actions taken by faceless individuals to tarnish the memory of our music legend DL . The elders and all the chiefs in the Asante community have failed those who put their trust in their wisdom to intervene in what was mainly a traditional matter. If the chiefs and their council of elders have taken up this matter , peace would have prevailed and Lumba could have had a memorable exit . Traditional matters require traditional interventions and this matter did not belong in the courts and this is evident in the stupid judgement given by the last judge . How on earth could someone secure two million cedis in barely two hours yet no sensible member of the judiciary have criticized this foolish decision by the judge . This is the reason why Ghanaians have lost faith in our judiciary system. Shame on our traditional chiefs and kings who failed to intervene in this case. Daddy Lumba did not deserve this shameful actions surrounding his final send off.

Who profited or should have benefited from the funeral of DL? Its the very people who were fighting each other... so if they don't respect what DL stood for and how they could honor his memory abd legacy but reduce everything to division, that's their business! Don't blame anybody! With time they'll reel at lost opportunities when the few money or assets left dry up!!
