Over the last 8 years, NPP was promoting cheating in schools during examinations and they also lowered standards with bogus exam questions so that students will pass in big numbers to justify the Free SHS and Shift system without paying attention to availability of teachers and structures to support the educational system.
Shame on you

Joseph, I respect your opinion but it is highly flawed. Students have performed poorly and you think that it could be caused by one factor? Where in the world do you go to school only to prepare for exams and not to acquire knowledge. No wonder we have people who cannot defend the certificates. A government could not provide textbooks, could not pay the exam body for proper organization of exams but rather procure past exam questions for students to practice and pass exams, and you think that is novel? What knowledge did the students acquire in the classroom before practicing with the past questions. You said some schools do not have qualified teachers. Really? How did you determine that? Was there no teacher licensure exams? Were there no unemployed professionally trained teachers at the time? And you think the most prudent thing to do is to buy past questions instead of employing qualified teachers? Come on! The former government knew they had messed up the system after they ignored sound advice from technocrats on the implementation of the FSHS. Why did they pull Ghana out of the regional WASSCE? Please, let's be truthful!

It looks like an examination cannot be conducted on what students have not been thought.
So if questions are set on what students are thought they must be able to answer the questions.

A few years ago, were all in Ghana when disappointed students of certain Senior High Schools raised very serious, unprintable insults on Akufo-Addo for their failure to copy during those examinations. "Appor" never reached them, and they invigilators never allowed them the freedom to copy.
No one helped them prepare students for the exams. They always obtained "appor" for them. Is that what you call preparation?
