Sir thanks for your contribution and concern. Sir seeing the dangers these dogs pose to the general public. May I suggest you as an individual Ghanaian irrespective of your socio-economic and educational background take an initiative by mobilizing and educating people in your area, coming together to sign your concerns and present it to the AMA for them to go around to control and catch all such dogs that loiter around. We Ghanaians we are the cause of the many problems we face in our country. It is a matter of common sense. If we love our neighborhood and country we will always behave right and not to bring others in risk. Those strayed dogs, when they bite someone will cause not only infection but some dog bites can end up in death, when not well treated.
Back days in Accra in the 70's and 80's Accra was so clean you could even eat on the floor. We have a different calibre of people in our country today. Overpopulation, poverty, street-life struggel and unemployment has made many people blind. The politicians voted in parliament to me, they shouldn't just sit in their offices and in parliament they should be going to Accra and educate the people and all help clean up our cities just like JJ Rawlings did. I used to live in the Adenta flats and 2018 whilst on vist from Europe went to Adenta flats and I was so sad, the filth. Common sense because they don't pick up the garbages that regularly, what do some people in the flats do? They still put their garbage in the dustbins that already full, the result it spills out, strayed dogs, goats came eating from the trash around the dustbins, the birds flew constantly on the overfilled dustbins.
I took the courage and went to the Adenta community authorities office and kindly demanded to talk to the head of the Adenta community offce municipality, but they weren't nice to me, I told them the Adenta i used to know, is no more the Adenta i am seeing, and then they could go around and sue those flats with overspilled dustbins. They asked me who am I, and that which country from abroad am I coming from. Further they said, yes the people behaving like that in the flats are yet still well dressed and driving big cars. So now I ask myself what are their duties in the municipality apart from collecting tax etc. We always blame Government, when things don't go right. But if we don't change our way of thinking and behave right Ghana will be doomed forever.
