  RE --the unemployment situation----???I am of the opinion that the unemployment case prevailing in many developing countries is due to the wrong understanding of what education is all about -----First of all EDUCATION must train students to become entrepreneurs but unfortunately these supposed entrepreneurs rather end up becoming JOB SEEKERS /Great minds create JOBS ---WHICH EMPLOYS ----Governments at best must create a conducive environment environment for PRIVATE ENTERPRICE to thrive.---At best Government establishments such as the Military --Police --Fire service and others should expand their activities into non -traditional operations --such as farming ---construction--[roads ,houses etc]---likewise religious organizations --co-operatives and educational institutions and others should also venture in such operations -----Such approach will solve the unemployment problem.---IS IT NOT a shame that such a high number of applicants would converge for a spot to serve in the Military ;-----having put my view across ---another proposal to create a job for the teeming unemployed is for government to seriously tackle the GALAMSEY MENACE ISSUE ---FIRST Parliament must enact a LAW to BAN all artisanal Small Scale Mining operations in GHANA for a foreseeable period ---declare a state of Emergency ---put on hold the GOLDBOD --ENTERPRICE operation ---embark on a serious AFFOIRESTATION [TREE PLANTING ] exercise TO RECLAIM THE DEVASTATED Agricultural Lands --Forest Reserves and the POLLUTED WATER BODIES ----EMPLOY all the unemployed in this exercise and pay them reasonable wages for their participation. A good purpose---GOVERNMENT must think about that; .----Seriously ,about time we understand that we get educated to become entrepreneurs to create jobs to employ the jobless.
  Also we must tailor our education towards creation of jobs or train the students specifically to a job that is in demand.
