The value of the Ghana Cedi has appreciated since John Mahama became the president of Ghana on 7th January, 2025.
But that has not affected the prices of goods and services. We were told in the beginning that people bought their goods when the Cedi depreciated.
But what about services.
The Ghanaian has up till now not come to terms with real economic management,that all is not always about making profit.
When you make super profit at the expense of other members of society, it creates social inequality, that others may want to change and as a result you may lose all in the future, when the poor or workers who don't have the purchasing power agitate or rebel.

Kwame, with all due respect, can you tell me what Mahama did to let the cedi appreciate because in economic management, some measures have to be applied to see results so, my question again is, what measures did Mahama put in place to make the cedi appreciate?
Now, during the debt restructuring under NPP, we heard all the noises coming from the opposition NDC but in end, they are reaping the "Finess" of the program because under the agreement, most debts payment have been pushed into the future with about $2billion written off so, you see the benefit of the debts restructuring?
I know there will some doubts but remember that Mahama has been president before and his economic records are there so, what magical powers is he using now that he did not use during his presidency from 2012-16?
If your credit card companies write some of your debts off, I think you will have some relief and more room to cushion your finances, right or wrong? That is what we are seeing today.
