  Talk to this government and past administrations, and ask them why they have always seen it fit to pay certain high ranking government officials in dollars instead of cedis. People hoarding foreign currency hardly makes a dent in the direction that cedi travels, it's fiscal management by financial institutions like the Bank of Ghana and other government policies that largely determine how strong or weak the cedi becomes. Additionally, international financial occurrences too play a major part in which direction the cedi goes.

  Same was the case with the British pound sterling when it was the most powerful currency in the world. We must also support our local teams than the foreign leagues we worship now. We shop online buying imported goods while locally produce rots in the farm. At the same time the government struggles to pay for the free boarding high school we enjoy
