  Over 400 billion dollars worth of oil money has been stolen by corrupt Nigerian policians over tne past decades.No vital infrastructure done by these thieving bastards. Have you thought about that?
  We are more concerned about getting venal African thieves such as Ofori Atta prosecuted and put behind bars than the useless gold mask of useless Kofi Karikari.
  That said, Kofi Karikari dealt in slave raiding and trading during his reign even when it was abolished in the Gold Coast. Madam Tinubu of Nigeria was a notorious slave trader. Are you interested in holding their descendants and heirs accountable as well?
  The ancestors of the King of Morocco came from Arabia and plundered Africa in AD 639.. Are you interested in holding him and the Arabs in North Africa accountable for their despicable actions?
  Have you sat down and collated how much leaders such as Mobutu, Abacha, Nyadema, Babaginda, Biya, Bongo, Ofori Atta, Houphoet Boigny,Mugabe etc stole from the us in Africa?

  Getting back your looted treasures is a pipe dream. It isn’t going to happen buddy. These looted items quite apart from a sizeable proportion of them having a face value worth millions of dollars are also a major star attraction for visitors to the museums of past colonial powers.
  So, we can kiss goodbye to them for the foreseeable future. Sadly, the world is still a place where "Might is Right".
  A far more sensible thing for African governments to do is to copy the tendency of the Central Banks of most countries (both from the wealthy global North and poorer global South) these days to keep their Gold Reserves in their own countries because of the fear of confiscation by the countries hosting or storing their gold. This fate has already befallen several countries. This is more likely to happen to a country that falls out in a big way with the foreign country acting as "custodians" of their gold reserves. Also, it is conceivable that if the "Custodian" country should suddenly face an extreme geopolitical situation (e.g the sudden outbreak of major war) they would find it hard to resist the temptation to confiscate other nation's gold reserve on some lame pretext.

  However, the issue we have now is more than colonial artifacts, but our own so-called leaders who are worse than the colonial exploiters- stealing billions and putting in offshore accounts whilst the daft masses talk and kill themselves under NPP and NDC and tribalism- just listen to the Attorney General and see the sheer greed and open thievery that useless former president presided over.
