This is a clear falsehood. What was Ghana's total debt in January 2025?
NDC has in its rank a dangerous set of politicians who would lie and twist issues. NPP managed the economy well in their first term and there is no debate about this. The latter part of the first four years and majority of the second period of Nana Addo's government faced unprecedented economic challenges plus a hung parliament that made the implementation of their economic programme a challenging task. It is to their credit that they managed to turn the economy around in the last half-year of their administration. I wonder what "lie" you are talking about here.

To begin with, this present government borrows from the market every week and it was even reported recently, how they succeeded in raising funds from the Eurobond , which leaves your position as naked lies. Next, the previous NPP administration never borrowed 3 billion dollars every quarter. For the records, they rather went for a 3 billion IMF bailout that lasted from 2022 to 2024.

The next is a question to you; and that is, if the accusation of Goldbod buying gold from galamseyers is not true, then why can't the government simply stop it, but drag their feet on it?

Last but not the least, spending huge sums of our national income on soring up the cedi without engaging in any developmental projects like roads construction, provision of portable water, etc is not a laudable idea.

Mr writer, don't ever take the Ghanaian electorate for granted, because we know how your government has increased utilities bills, implemented D Levy, among others. The Free Senior High is also in limbo, as many parents are complaining of spending huge on their part to provide for their needs of their wards in school.
