Our leaders must know that if galamsey is not stopped, it will destroy the country very soon . Our food crops and water bodies and aquatic life have been poisoned by the chemicals used to process these minerals and the consumption of these will eventually kill us or impose health risks to generations to come . If what kills us does not demand an emergency response then I don’t know what will constitute an emergency. However there is an Ibrahim Toure somewhere in the country monitoring this galamsey menace who can just issue a decree to halt this devastation immediately. Our inability to fight galamsey is due to weak leadership or lack of courage.

All that bucolic and ideal rural existence changed when people of your type voted for a true genius called Akufo Addo. His idea of rapid industrialisation was to introduce a legislative instrument that made it possible for his party financiers to enter our once pristine forests&rivers and prospect for gold .
When a [ not-so-true-leader] per your standard in the name of Prof Frimpong Boateng drew his attention to the destructive nature of his policy, he just gave us "Two Fingers" just as true leaders do.
Nine months later, one of his sycophants called Rockson Adofo, with "Kokonte" stuffed in his over seventy year old head is screaming and ranting.
