Much as I totally agree to some issues raised in this write up, the fact is that no one is forcing the Ga Language off the screens, in our daily discourse. If the Ga people have any respect, value for their language, culture etc, they have to take the lead and show-case it.
It’s never ever true that the Ga people were from Israel. Is it were so, who then were the ones from Yoruba land?

Perhaps a starting point is to ban TWI as the 'official' language in public service offices. I recently went to a public service office in Accra, the lady at the front desk spoke TWI to me. When I told her I din't speak that language, she was quite surprised and annoyed. Her next question was: why don't you speak it, as if Twi was the official language of doing business in the public service.

What a wonderful write-up! And very relevant at such a time in the modern Republic of Ghana . . . a time when even the Ghana Bible Society feigns doing what is right and subtly seems to be supporting a drive to “Akanise” the Church by not distributing Bibles in other languages except Twi.
The Church of Yeshua consists of peoples from different nations. Ghana, Ghana Bible Society, get it right by following the trend!
Keep writing my sister. More of these!

Tribes or ethnic groups must do more to preserve their language and identity than they expect the government and private organizations as well as individuals to do for them.
There is a fish seller whose fish I always patronize. She is a Ga lady. I already speak Twi and other Ghanaian languages. Whenever I speak to the fish seller in Ga, she speaks in Twi. One day I told her point blank why she hates her language.
Much as I totally agree to some issues raised in this write up, the fact is that no one is forcing the Ga Language off the screens, in our daily discourse. If the Ga people have any respect, value for their language, culture ...
