This is called failure tactics..this is intimidation by rough tactics but Mahama lie bad because it won’t work..which serious govt will have time to be chasing people who are criticizing them or probably hate speech..the truth is that Ndc has realized they can’t fulfill their promises so the best thing to do is to put fear in the citizens so nobody can criticize or talk about their bad governance.mahama has forgotten that Ghanaians are wiser now..his own words is catching up to him..if u are seriously working as a president, even if someone comes to insult u, the citizens themselves will defend u as a president..to me this is a sign of failure and weakness..a leader who cannot withstand criticism, is that one too a leader..remember when the cedi was appreciating, the whole country were praising u, same thing when things are rough, people will speak up their minds..

Hate speech is never tolerated anywhere in this world. Let's be wise in our utterances. Attention seeking is unhelpful. Mahama says those involved in hate speech - hate speech and hate speech only - will be tracked and dealt with. What is our problem with this? Has Mahama ever supported hate speech, and is now dealing with it? Let's be honest in our comments; otherwise we appear as confused

Alhaji, thank you for this excellent article, opposition leader John Mahama spent eight long years in opposition vilifying the Nana Addo-led government with unspeakable propaganda to neglect of sound development plans, now he is back in power with his well known cluelessness and incompetence but this time with the added fear of being administered the poisonous medicine he brewed in opposition, running away from his shadow is not possible.Ghana is not an island unto itself so the government must to the advanced countries and learn how they manage their airwaves and social media, trying to roll back the democratic gains after 32 years is not possible and the president is trying to embark on a war with only one outcome,a shameful defeat.

It's apparent that the government has little tolerance for the freedom of citizens to express themselves freely. Just days after strongly criticizing the government's false prosecution of of its political opponent Abronye DC as well the government's corrupt deal with Trump to dump his deportees in Ghana, I suddenly noticed that my comments on Ghanaweb are now being 'copied' with every click that I make. I can openly laugh and pity any government that resorts to such tactics, for this can only happen because the government is afraid of comments that expose its actions to the citizenry. Shame on any government that claims to respect the rights of the people but does totally the opposite when its wrong actions are called into question. The government can use its equipment that it purchased from an Israeli company to trail those who dare make comments on this site against the government, but the truth can never be suffocated. As long as comments against government policies contain no threats of violence or any act of inciting others into violence, the government is wasting its time trailing me. many of us spoke strongly against Akufo-Addo and his crooked and abusive government, and we'll do the same about any abuses that take place within this government. Ghanaians have every right to hold their elected officials to their feet to ensure that they perform in the best interest of Ghana and not what is best for the politicians.

Are free speech, free libel and free threat on others? You can play football everywhere on the land surface, but not in a river or fire surface even though it is still football you are playing. Get basic education on free speech if you don't have and come again. When one speaks about truth and evidential events/actions without lacing it with assumptions in a frank and open manner, we say freedom of expression. But Mr. Author of free speech, what do you call insulting, threats and deliberate lies on air (media) space?
Remember Truth is only ONE, my brothers and sisters.
