I think it's time we who lived abroad tried to cure this ignorance in ghana, look in every serious country with tight monetary controls getting dollars from banks is not easy, I went to bank of China in 2022 to go for dollars to travel and I was denied not even 100 dollars, I had to go to the black market which was illegal even though the rate was better than Ghana, in europe it is the same if you chose banks you would have to wait for days too how much more a poorer country like Ghana unless you use an atm or go to currency exchange offices, so if those people need dollars they can also go to forex bureaus, or use atms overseas or also wait like youre complaining in this article because in every serious country it is the same, so for this Ghana is headed in the right direction

My friend, the strength of the cedi was artificially engineered for propaganda purposes and was helped along by President Trump’s insane trade war,now the dollars left by the Nana Addo government used for the dumping to force down the cedi/dollar rate is finished, that was $1.4 billion flushed down the drain to deceive gullible Ghanaians that they are capable. It was economically unsustainable and foolish.

Look remember the NDC is just in their 9th month in office, so don't do this kind of comparison. I can see where you coming from, it's just b'cos of the arrest of those loose talkers. Now, I quite remember you same person sat on good morning Ghana tv shows and defend the rot in your party. This is how you do, you start by saying it happened during your time in govt and you talked about it but nobody listened. After that you bring in the current govt , saying they've also started doing it. So I think if you have any advice to give, it's your party the NPP that needed them the most.
