  The writer is beyond ludicrous to think Africa has forgotten the rotten role UNITA played in alliance with the most evil and worst enemies of Africa. UNITA was used as a tool by fascist Portugal, Apartheid South Africa, and the CIA. The evidence is available to Fernand in declassified CIA, Portuguese, and South African records. Jonas Savimbi, the evil traitor of Africa (just like Kotoka) himself is on record as having stated that he would fight with the devil himself against the then true liberation movement, the MPLA. And he surely did and more. The land mines that Fernand cavalierly mentioned like toys were actually planted all over Angola by UNITA, and hundreds of thousands of Angolans have been maimed and continue to be maimed by these deadly weapons. UNITA laid down its weapons only at the behest of the Western powers who, having concluded that the MPLA was ready to play ball and protect its economic exploitation of Angola, assassinated Jonas Savimbi and fully embraced the MPLA in its web of corruption. UNITA can never be trusted to seek the interest of Angola.
  
  Both the MPLA (tragically) and UNITA,the notorious soldiers of Apartheid and the CIA, have betrayed Angola. The MPLA's economic and electoral corruption, brutal repression, and orientation towards the West particularly in alliance with Donald Trump's foreign policy against Chinese influence in Africa, means the Angolans should denounce and abandon both organizations and form a new national political movement for their economic civil liberation!
