The philistines placed the ark of the covenant on a cart but when king David and his people did same the LORD's anger was kondled against them for HE taught HOS people the regulation.

When we are told to pray it's for your good for you are building yourself up.

The folk who should be asking why the youth are leaving the church are the older folk. This is a global phenomenon, and not just in Ghana.TODAY IN OUR CHURCHES THE MISSING AGE GROUP ARE THOSE ROUGHLY BETWEEN THE AGES OF 16YRS AND 40YRS.Where are they? Sadly most of them have come to the conclusion that Christianity does not appear to work, and they base their assumptions on what they have witnessed in church- The lack of sincere love characterised by greed,the jostling for power and influence, the constant pettiness,factions, gossiping, back-biting and back-stabbing, the lack of empathy or compassion for those on the margins of society. In particular the youth of today observe and note the relentless persuit for wealth and influence amongst so-called "Men of God", the widespread sexual rampant sexual misconduct amongst so many.
The Church while it was never meant to be 100% picture of perfection it was designed to be a light to a fallen world.
MANY HAVE LIKENED THE CHURCH TO A TYPE OF NOAHS ARK, FULL OF ALL SORTS OF CREATURES SHUT IN A VERY CONFINED RESTRICTIVE SPACE. THE SMELL OR STENCH IN THE BIBLICAL ARK MUST HAVE BEEN HORRENDOUS (AND THERE WAS NO DEODORIZER SPRAYS OR SCENT SPRAYS THAT NOAH COULD USE EVERY FEW HOURS TO MASK THE UNBEARABLE SMELL THAT MUST HAVE BEEN PRESENT IN THE CONFINED SPACES OF THE ARK. THE VARIOUS ANIMAL NOISES WOULD HAVE DRIVEN ANYONE DEMENTED- IN SHORT IT MUST HAVE BEEN A STRESSFUL ENVIRONMENT- No wonder Noah got drank soon after leaving the Ark perhaps to ease his stress).
Now let's compare what was going on outside the ark during the floods. After a few days of torrential rain and uncontrollable flooding ,every living creature on land would have been dead.There would have been bloated corpses floating past the ark, perhaps even bumping into it every now and then.The smell of rotten corpses,both human and animal would have been much worse than anything in Ark.No wonder Noah ,his family and animal "guests" were all "shut in" by the Lord without windows it seems. They were spared the horrendous fate of the living creatures outside the ARK
THE MESSAGE HERE IS THAT HOWEVER SMELLY, NOISY AND RESTRICTIVE THE ARK ( THE CHURCH) IS, IT IS STILL A PLACE OF SAFETY COMPARED TO WHAT IS GOING ON OUTSIDE.
HOWEVER LET THOSE WHO ARE TASKED WITH BEING OVERSEERS IN THE "ARK" (OLDER CHURCH FOLK,PARENTS,CHURCH LEADERS AND OTHER INFLUENCERS WITHIN THE BODY OF CHRIST) DO THEIR PART BY LIVING GODLY LIVES BECAUSE THE GOD OF HEAVEN WILL HOLD THEM RESPONSIBLE AND HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE ABUSE,NEGLECT OR MISTREATMENT OF HIS FLOCK.
