You equating freedom to doing whatever you want in life without repercussions? If I am an employer and you come to my office with nose rings and anklets braces , a lot of tattoos , I promise you will not be getting the job.
Professionalism goes with resposibilities and ethical behavior.
I do agree with the school, they should have withdrawn them right away.
It is in their handbook.
