  What FAITH ABABIO TWI---is talking about makes sense but I may ask WHY and HOW come the gurus in the Finance ,Economics --BANKING etc have not come out with this lofty proposal----and also where has this FAITH guy been all this time ----Or is it that as convincing as it appears -- the proposal is not superior to the current VAT system i operation .

  After borrowing huge sums and facilitating EXPORT ORIENTED GROWTH policies prescribed by the Bretton Woods Institutions since the late 1990s, wetin dey happen for Ghana? Kotoooo!! Just another generation that lives on credit. After years of STEALING in the name of Value Added Tax (VAT), you now want to resort to a Sales Tax regime?

  Tax is tax, whether we call it VAT or Sales Tax. The mist important aspect is whether the politicians will again steal from the people or apply the extra revenue to develop the country.

If after 7 months and we don’t see any improvement in our lives, we are going to go out there in our numbers to let them know tgst they have promised us something’s in exchange for our votes and we are want them to fulfill their part.

  Before 1995, Sales Tax was the prevailing tax system. It was during this period that Kumipreko demo took place when VAT was being introduced to replace it. Sankofa reloaded.
